Did Weed Did Open You Up To Trying Other Drugs?

Yeah, it was the only reason I started smoking weed heavily. To meet other drug users and get them to help me find drugs. I had to begin my search somewhere.

Everyone smokes weed. Not everyone does other things. It was a careful and intricate search.
 
I wanted to try heroin before I had ever smoked weed. I actually particularly DIDN'T want to smoke weed. I'm glad I smoked, it made me want to learn about what I'm putting in my body, whether it's a psychoactive drug/food/vitamin/small mammal or anything else.

Exactly - there were so many lies told about weed .......... but I was going to try anyway, because all my heros did.

When I did I loved it - so I assumed I was lied to about every other drug.

I don't believe it is a gateway drug, but that's how it was for me.

I tried lots since - I just make up my own mind about them now.

I started off taking weed but I knew from an early-ish age I was interested in trying most drugs. I remember getting a booklet in a class at school about each of the more common drugs (and how terrible they were of course) and deciding they all sounded worth a go pretty much!
 
i always wanted to try ecstasy first. i was always facinated from the drug scene ever since i was 11 and a police officer came to our school telling us about drugs then wen i was about 13 i tried weed then wen i hit 15 and set eyes on my first proper E pill i feel in love =D.. and sadly im almost 18 and havent seen a scrap of mdma in any shape or form since may 2008 :(
 
also the biggest gateway to drugs imo is the government. they make drugs out to sound so bad and horrible that wen u actully look them up and find out the truth they arnt as bad as they are made out (considering ur using wisley) and give peopel the curiosity of trying them.
eg. they say one ecstasy pill will kill you.
they dont tell u that for the biggest percentage of ecstasy deaths is due to water intoxication or dehydration which is very easy to control considering u do a bit of research
 
I don't subscribe to the gateway theory, but I do concede that in my personal case weed was the first drug I tried, even before alcohol, and it did spark a curiosity in other illegal drugs that were out there for the taking. And I thank fuckin god every day for that lol.
 
I would have to say no, because even though the first drug I did was pot, I stopped it after a few months of occasional use for about 6-8 months, then got into the rave scene. My first rave I ended eating 5 pills by the end of the night and I was fucked. Chewing gum that wasnt even there because I was clenching so hard, and all I wanted to do was party.

It was an amazing feeling, always having been the nerd of the school in the shitty town in CA i used to live in, to roll and party and have a substance eliminate social boundaries, so I continued to do it, which got me into trying every drug I could get my hands on, including weed again.

The best part about weed is the social aspect of it, IMO. Not to mention, it's something to do. Without it, I know I would be one bored mother fucker.
 
I always wanted to do other drugs anyway, then once I got high (on weed) for the first time I was like "sick I guess all drugs are like this" or something I don't know it was a long time ago :P .
 
Definitely. Weed, for me, was "that gateway drug." It kind of let me become more open to the "scarier" things, like MDMA. If I hadn't smoked bud, I probably wouldn't have tried anything else.
 
Weed definitely opened me up to other drugs. After my first rip I knew that I wanted to experience everything I could, so I tried ecstasy, then coke and just about everything else that's out there.
 
no, i have never taken drugs other than weed. but ive had plenty of opportunities to try speed and extacy due to the crowd i hung out with. i know i would love extacy, and probably other drugs as well and thats the reason i never tried them. a weed addiction is trouble enough.
 
i started with weed and liked it than wanted 2 experiment with other drugs, mostly ecstasy and acid (this is 1 seriously fucked up drug 4 any1 not ready for 10hrs of strong visual and audio hallucinations), trying speed in a couple of days

i think he might have deen talkin bout sniffing fumes?? god, when i think of all the petrol fumes that went into me when i was a kid...EEEEK!! i actually thought my mother was turning into a chicken one day when she called me for dinner.....lol! me and my m8 had been sniffin butane gas in my bed room, and we were RIPPED! yeah tought she was a chicken..could see feathers where her hands were when i opened the door! she must have known we were at sumtin, because of the look that was prob on my face, lol! but she never said anything thank god! freaky shit wen ur a kid...

the whole gateway theory is bollox!! if weed had never evovled we'd still have made mind altering chemicals or extracted them from other plants as done for thousands of years. and there would be just asmany people rollin, drinkin, whatever...just nobody smokin weed..:(:(..i dont want to live in that world8o

the lies tey tell you aswell, i agree with. wen a cop came round to our school to give a talk, he was spewin all the usual bullshit bout how bad every drug was, ie: people slitin they're troats on acid thinkin there was snake on it, and how u get hooked on gear straight away, shit like that.. he then pulled out a half bar of hash and proceeded to hold a lighter to it for ages. there was smoke pissing out of it! one boy actually collapsed off his seat, white as a ghost and busted his head!! lol fuckin lol!! im gigglin to myself recalling it. it was the lovleyest smell i ever did smell!! dnt kno wat he was thinkin!8)

my final point to put this bed, coz i know im rambling here... The only way there could be no gateway drug is if there were no drugs...FIN=D
