Bupe Did the suboxone ruin my little tolerance....opinions

If someone was on suboxone for 2 months at about 4mg/ day average.... and is wanting to use heroin via snorting.... what can she expect tolerance to be? I was sniffing about 2 bags a day before.....did the suboxone ruin my light tolerance? Am I going to be able to use so little to get high again?

If you've been taking the suboxone you'd have to stop for at least 24 hours if not more like 48. Others with experience bouncing back and forth between bupe and full agonists can chime in on those figures, but you won't get high at all until it clears your system.

Your tolerance depends on the quality of the dope really, but it is likely that your tolerance has increased, meaning that you probably won't get the same effect you remember from two bags without taking a long break. Burprenorphine is very potent.

It's been about 48 hours right now... just trying to gauge how much more I am actually going to need.

The only way to find out is by experience. At 48 hours I still found that suboxone blocked some of the effects of the heroin considering I had been taking the suboxone daily for a while. 4mg of suboxone is about equal to 80mg of oxycodone (source), so that's where your tolerance should be around. Now if you can compare a bag of heroin to a dose of oxycodone you can get an idea of how much you should need, but these are just guidelines and you still need to start low and work your way up.

Just because it took me 3 days to fully feel heroin after being on suboxone daily doesn't mean it will be the same for you. It could be shorter or longer depending on various factors. If you aren't feeling pretty sick yet then that means you still have suboxone on your receptors which means it can still block some of the heroin, so wait until you are pretty sick so you know your receptors are free of suboxone and open for business.
