Did Sasha Shulgin go mad? crazy video..

i suspect he's just fucking around to a certain extent because someone he apparently doesn't know has a camera shoved in his face.

imo it's not a very respectful 60 odd second clip.
 
i know.. i just thought it was worth posting.. but i think he was really joking around and being funny.. i laughed.. I love Shulgin
 
He has dementia/alzheimer's which he takes ergoloid and other drugs for, and has suffered at least 1 stroke. Read what Ann Shulgin says on his FB page, with the amount of money they need for all the care he's apparently receiving, I can't imagine that his health is good

I've seen the same behaviour in relatives, he isn't "joking around"
 
Whats wrong with him in this video? Seems like he's messing around. I thought he was sharp for a person his age.
 
in a strange way i do think he was messing around a bit.. , but yes i seen him in some videos where he does start to talk a bit crazy, but perhaps he just does not care and gets a kick of of doing it.. no one ever asked him to be serious..
 
There appears to be some dementia on display in that video, so let's show some respect the a great man who is near the end of a very long and fruitful life.

Thank you for being kind to Sasha. Dementia or no he is still the same great person. I always hear his voice in my head when i think of him. :)
 
Shulgin absolutely loves playing with words. Actually, from this clip, I'd say he was more than lucid in mind.
 
I think the OP has gone mad.... Shulgin did not seem off in any sort of way for someone in his condition.
 
in truth , i decided to post the video because i was just happy to see him talking.. i think he was doing great considering..
 
Suggesting he's gone crazy is a huge overstatement. He likes to play with words. The first parts of PIHKAL/TIHKAL shows his fondness for word games. It is some GREAT reading material that IS NOT online. His thoughts on all kinds of subjects from drug law to the big bang.
