Did it take you a few tries before you got high on opiates?

It took me a few tries to get high. I remember a bit of puking, and even when I first did get high, there was lots of puking and laying there so I didn't feel nauseated.

Before I got high, when I'd do them, I'd just feel more relaxed and kind out-of-it. Maybe somewhat itchy. Other than that it usually involved throwing up or being disappointed.

Then one night, awhile after I had begun thinking opiates weren't that great, I blew some oxy while drunk, and it all clicked. I coulnd't believe how good I felt!

My first time I tried them I got high
I was high as hell and I loved them, and never got sick
or anything%)
About a year later i tried Codine and got stomach aches
the first few times

I think the first time I took opiates was in a cough medicine, most likely codeine. I remember loving it, but not knowing at the time that it was special or prescription or anything. I didn't think much of it, and probably thought I was just feeling euphoric and high partly due to being sick. The first time I knowingly took opiates, probably hydrocodone, I definitely got high and enjoyed it immensely.

It's funny. I used to puke every single time I took Hydros for like, the first 6 months of using them.

I seem to be unusual with this. I've never once chucked on opiates, but just about everyone I know did at first. First time we smoked heroin everyone was heaving. But not me, I just nodded in Happyland. First time we injected heroin everyone was spewing - a lot. But not me, I just set up home in Happyland.
:)

The first times i was trying to get high on an opiate, it was vicodin, and I snorted it and smoked it always...thought I was getting high until finally I got a LARGE LARGE amount of vicodin and codeine, so as soon as I starting swallowing them shits I knew i had found the love of my life8) but yea, i got high on opiates as soon as I started using them CORRECTLY...5 years later, I think about opie's every day of my life.

My first time was with heroin.. Only thing i had taken before was alcohol and cannabis, and boy that smack hit me like a train. Wasnt expecting it really ;)

The first time Ive received opiates, it was IV hydromorphone. I almost puked, and I kinda freaked out because I was 16 and never done a drug before. I didnt know what "high" felt like...lol

I'm assuming that was the "if you're going to do something, do it well" principle at work there ;) .

My only opiate has been codeine and it worked great the first time, lay down and watched a movie and sank into the couch. 'twas awesome

If you consider being so sick and vomiting so hard it's spewing out my nose 'high', than yeah. No thanks, never again =)

it took me about 20 tries. at first i hardly felt anything from them besides some itches, dizzyness, weakness and nausea. over time i began to feel relaxed from but still no euphoria. about the 20th or so time is when i first experienced the euphoria and i still don't really understand how the same drug can be so euphoric sometimes and not at all euphoric other times. my body chemistry has never really agreed with opiates though, i always got lots of unpleasant side effects which outweighed the euphoria and now i pretty much hate how they make me feel.

I'm the same way EXCEPT I get no euphoria. If I wanted euphoria I'd drop 125mg+ MDMA or 100mg MDMA with 100mg MDA.<3

i got high as fuck the first time i did opiates, it was 15mg oxycodone and i hit a nod after my first cigarrete. after a while i got less and less high until i needed 30mg of oxycodone or hydrocodone to get high (and i was only getting jammed like once a week.) i didn't do opiates for like a year but recently i've been fucking with kratom (indonesian) and surpisingly i'm able to catch a nod off 3 teaspoons (wasn't expecting this at all.)
but ya opiates are the shit, i don't see myself getting addicted to them tho (i'm more of a dissasociative person.)

The first time i tried opiates was when i was 13 when i severly injured in a ski accident they never actually told me what it was i just remember hearing the nurse talking with my mom and it sounded like morphine or morphone something liek that but when they put it in my pic line i remember getting really warm and flush , not being able to keep my eyes open and kind of nauseaiated then going to sleep .. stuff was really blurry but the pain was completley gone .. they came in every 4 hours for 5 days straight to dope me up because my surgury was postponed due to a multi car accident and a few other things , basically my reconstructive sugury was on the bottom of the list because i was stable .

i dont remember what they gave me when i went home but it basically did the exact same thing , i never got a look at the bottle because again my mom was giving them to me when i needed them and disposed of the rest when i started to go back to school .

when i was 18 i started smoking pot then the whole word of knowing what drugs are out there came to sight .. so when i was 19 and got my wisdom teeth taken out i got percocet but didnt actually know what they were , till i researched but when i took them i remember feeling exactly how i felt back when i was 13 except with a better appreciation of the feeling . then when i was 20 thats when i really started to experiment and the feelings never changed.

so yea sorry for the rant but yes i definatly felt the feelings from the moment i took them the first time.

It definitely took me a few times to start feelin the opiates, I did vicodin and percs a few times and didn't feel them, but after a car accident one shot of fentanyl changed everything for me.

The first time i ever used an opiate it was Herion and i puked, scratched, nodded and fucking loved it. Problem was i loved it wayyyyy too much and now can only stick to the opiate pills like oxycontin. I can't even do MS Contin, morphine grosses me out now. But i agree with others Fantanyl does the trick nicely.
