Did I somehow get the beginning stages of cardiac arrest?

Uhhh yeah......so about a couple hours ago I loaded up a rig with coke and meth. I'm not sure what made me think it was okay, especially after doing that combination just the night before with weed and alcohol and experiencing chest pain (look, I know I'm the epitome of drug abuse okay, just leave it alone!). So I did that, and I began feeling my heart going way wacko super fast and harder and harder (think happy hardcore music style). Then all of a sudden everything faded to black, and my heartbeat became fainter and fainter and my muscles were suddenly super relaxed, and my heart got reeeeeeaaaaaaaallllllll slowwwwwwwwwwwww like I was on a heroin nod again.

Then I passed out for what seems to be around 5 minutes. I snapped awake real suddenly out of nowhere, like being woken from disturbed sleep...Weird thing is, I felt so refreshed after that little 5 minute nap, I thought I had actually slept 12 hours + 5 minutes into the morning. My heart was hurting for at least an hour after I woke up... now it feels bearable... So... I guess my question is....what the fuck just happened to me? Did I get fucking cardiac arrest or what?

I think we have all noticed a massive downward spiral of your drug use ever since you joined not to long ago.
I have no idea what exactly is wrong but I will tell you that its not good.
Read the signs that your body is giving you. It is painfully honest for all of us that read your posts. If you keep up your current paterns of use I fear the outcome will not be positive.
It may be time for you to try and get some help.

Yes that does sound very bad. Kandy, we all want you to grow old. To be an old black crackhead one day just like you want. Please slow down.
 
Could have been a serious arrythmia, ventricular tachycardia but if I had to geuss, I'd say you suffered from elongated QT interval AKA Torsades de Pointes, which is a very serious ventricular arrythmia. Essentially it means that your major heart muscle (ventricle) hadn't recovered from it's last beat when it is time for it to beat again.

This causes sudden blackouts, and can cause sudden death. It also is usually causes mild ischemic (oxygen deprevation death) damage of cardiac tissue. That in combination with the hardening of arteries associated with stimulant use is a good recipe for an actual heart attack.

If you like the sound of that, keep using in your current pattern.

Uhmmmmm fuck that's kind of bad lol.

Well uhhhhh I should add in that I've been shooting meth the past 2-3 days and what not, and I've had a lot of trouble breathing. I thought it might have been acute pulmonary odoema at first, so I stopped smoking and starting doing IV/rectal administration. My torso's kind of bloated and I'm coughing up this white meth-tasting shit, but I haven't smoked or taken orally. 8( Still, it's a pretty good puke, you know what I'm saying? like its nothing bad at all, just coughing up meth substance 8( i wonder if i can high off it? -_-;

So, does this mean I still have a chance of getting a heart attack at any given moment now?

Ehhh, it happens to me every couple months on meth. basically, everytime i get a ball and decide to do it all in 1 sitting. I'm invincible. I'm the cockroach in the crackhead corner of Lacey K's bed that never dies.
 
Dude, this is no joke. You could easily die if this continues.... easily. You may laugh at the threat of death and consider it to be far off but it could hit you at anytime if you keep this shit up. So far, you've had a lot of bad signs that should convince you to quit, but I would say that the most significant and most convincing would be a board full of drug users telling you to get some help.

i know, i know! ok! But I just wanna know if you guys think it was the IV that fucked up my heart or the coke/meth combo? Cause uhh, I put more than I would snort in a line in there (of coke), cause I've gotten cross tolerance from too much meth use.

Anyways, is it possible to get cardiac arrest later from poor filtering techniques in the past, or a clogged artery suddenly becoming unclogged or sommething?

........What about bootybumping? I did a shitload (no pun intended) of that too.
 
You're not going to have a heart attack because of poor filtering, you might have a stroke though. The negative effects on your heart aren't dependent on how you use the meth, just whether you use it or not.

Well yes and no. Torsades de Pointes isn't a heart attack, it just means your heart gets all out of rhythm, and stops beating effeciently, but it puts you at risk, in future of having a heart attack. I forget the exact statistics, but in people aged 20-40 years old who have heart attacks, something like 40% of them are coke or meth users... Taking those drugs massively increases your risk of having heart attacks.
 
what happened was u came close to killing urself. maybe u might wanna think TWICE about that lil cocaine/meth combo u were talking about in the other thread.

So then you think it's the combo then? Alright...

I learned in my anatomy class that if an artery becomes clogged, and it somehow becomes unclogged in the future and a large enough particle hits your heart you can get a heart attack.. Then again, uhmmmm, that anatomy class was part of a Baptist institute that taught "creationism" in their biology schools. 8( 8( 8( glad i wasnt there that year

Bilzor: Would having benzo's or opiates/heroin on handy reduce these risks (long-term), or would they only help to alleviate a fast heartbeat during times like, say, a panic attack?
 
no instead of cancelling out the coke/meth, opiates will fuck up u and ur heart rythem even more. i know a friend who died of a speedball. benzos on the other hand would be good to have.
 
Oh shit, you're right, about the arrythmia. Conversely though, I've heard reports that if you're overdosing on heroin (as in your heartbeat gets too slow and is not pumping enough blood), it can actually save your life to take a dose of meth?
