did i found opium?

Hi bluelighters, today i was walking down the street with a bag full of ditch weed to make hash and i suddenly stumbled upon a plant that had small green pods and long stems.I think its opium.Pods are really small.anyways i had enough space for a plant so i took it.A plant had about 20 stems.20 pods total.they had those caps on the pods, they wrele yellow, hard like plastic.Inside pods i saw lots of white seeds, and it was really sticky.Is it poppy? Can i do something with it? and im really interested in smoking it.

Pictures? Without them no one will be able to say. But poppy seeds in a mature pod (which they would be by now) are sorta blue.
 
I will upload them tommorow.The plant was growing in a shady place under the tree.Are the opium inside poppy or just in a skin? because inside i just only saw some seeds.Is there any look alikes growing?

My grandma is really into gardening...I haven't visited her in years, but I remember once being over there about 8 years ago, and we were in her huge garden in her back yard and she pointed out that she was growing poppy plants, and told me that the kind she had was what heroin is made of...Of course I became fascinated but never did anything about it...how could I steal plants from my own grandma's garden?? But there they were, looking just lovely. Doing research confirmed that she did have the exact kind...she's had that garden since about 1950, when she bought the house, and had all kinds of shit growing in it. She was a chemist and so was her father..hmmmm.

I hope grandma hasn't been slamming dope all these years.

okay, no photos.Inside pods i found some sticky white and orange seeds.I made a tea from all of the pods and seeds.As i extracted i saw some white shit like milk.I drank that up.No effect.My friend said he felt something.
 
^ And this was an exceedingly silly thing to do. You don't go making "teas" or anything of the sort with some random plant you find, and hope against hope that you'll catch a buzz because you *think* it's a poppy. The more likely outcome is that you'll end up making yourself ill or worse.

^Because you are not even certain if they are poppies.

I have gathered poppies that I found growing at ramndom and just hoping they were somniferums, made some tea (yuck), to no avail. There are many types of poppies, and most do not contain opium. That said, I do not believe there are any outright poisonous poppy (specifically) species, aside from opium itself being dangerous in high doses.
 
oh, i tought the only poppies have opium are those that have pods.Well now i know.Anyways, im going to search for some next week :) i will upload the photos when i found them.
 
aivaras- You did not found (sorry had to do it) opium however it is possible that you did find poppy pods. I believe (and some one please correct me if I'm wrong) that the opium poppies grow and thrive mainly in the middle east and asia (hence the mass amounts of heroin coming from these parts). I don’t think that it’s very likely to stumble across poppies on the side of the street, and even if you did find poppies and the odds were in your favor, they would have to be from the papaver somniferum species to deliver the goods. So even if we get past all of that and your found treasure is indeed the right stuff, the pods would have to be in the right place at the right time, not to mention at the right maturity before you could 'bleed' them and produce opium. And let’s just pretend that you didn’t ingest an unofficially unidentified plant off the street and you still have some of its seeds left: grab some lemons, make some brew and throw yourself a tea party. One note for safety's sake and a very important note to remember: every poppy batch has its own brand of potency so be very careful and start with moderation.

easting a random plant hoping to get high - Madness! i mind my pals ate a hole load a muchrooms they found that they thought were liberty caps cause they cudent wait for me to identifi them when i got there they had ate loads and they defo werent liberty caps!!
