This weekend I went on a trip with some friends and I took 50 0.5mg Xanax footballs and 2 bottles of codeine syrup for the trip. I do not know how many Xanax I took but I'd think it's in the 30-40range over a 5 day period along with the codeine which I was sipping and lacing it on my joints. I also drank a decent quantity of alcohol... Bombay gin, tequila and beer mainly. Do you think I may have damaged my liver greatly? I feel fine.. And yes I was mixing everything at the same time.

15mg of xanax over a 5 period day.. That honestly isn't too much depending upon your tolerance. Although that with alcohol and codeine was a little over the top. What fun is a trip when it's not even a trip? You had to of been blacked out 90 percent of the time.

Interesting. Well regardless, what you did is obviously not good for your liver. Although if I were you I'd take a break and you will be fine. Taking tylenol every day for a week for headaches could be worse than what you did to your liver (depending upon dosage). If what you did damaged your liver severely, I'd have no liver.

well the alcohol is bad for your liver, smoking codeine is just wasteful and taking that much xanax is also wasteful. If you had fun then i guess it's worth it but don't mix opiates/alcohol and benzos together, you are asking for death, not due to liver failure but respiratory depression. Don't mix alcohol with opiates, opiates with alcohol, benzos with opiates and be cautious of mixing alcohol with benzos, you can die from each of those combos alone, so next time leave out alcohol. I know it was only codeine but i don't know your tolerance.

I'd say you have no liver damage whatsoever. Try to learn a lesson from this experience though, don't push your limits, you do have limits and you don't want to know what they are.

^^ It's not even death that you should be worried about also, unless your taking way over your normal recreational dose for everything. Just benzo's and alcohol alone could cause you to hurt yourself or even others. It can unleash a beast within.

yeah that is certainly the biggest concern with that combo. The amount of social and physical damage i caused myself combining alcohol with benzos is not even funny. Not to mention all the ridiculous purchases i made and the many times i embarrassed myself lol. If you are going to get benzod out, lock your door, hide your keys, your phone and cut off all contact to the world.

Hide ya kids, hide ya wife, and hid ya husband cause this benzod guy rapin' erbody' out here

Smoking codeine is dangerous.

It can cause pulmonary edema, do not do it.

As everyone said, yes, that's too much.

Idk, my friends and fam said it was too much but I feel fine other than the kind of depressed feeling you get from all the downers couple days after. I've definitely learned tho, lost my phone and shit

Yeah, that can be tough.

I can imagine that at least your family wouldn't want you to do something like this. They're truly looking out for your safety.

What else did you lose?

How old are you?

I know this is a harm reduction site. But mixing 3 downers is not always asking for death. In fact you can do that combo daily and come out fine. It is all about knowing your body, when i know i am mixing an opiate, a benzo, and alcohol + more i keep each dose pretty damn small. Knowledge is power

But yea for someone who is popping 30-40 xanax within 5 days, you better not be mixing .

^you can also do that combo daily and not wake up one day. It's a risky combo with too many variables.

Too much? I'd be more worried about what you're mixing in particular. You're mixing three downers (an opiate, benzodiazepine and alcohol) that all interact greatly with each other. They will all potentiate each other and increase respiratory depression, your heart rate and drowsiness in general. You played quite the dangerous game, be happy that nothing went wrong.

Also, liver damage is a tricky thing. You'll never notice any damage until it's far too late. Be very careful with what you strain your liver with.

are you trying to say no sign at all? LITERALLY until its too late? wont hurt even a bit? wont feel bad at all if you are OD'ing on say apap or something?

I'm 16 and other than losing my phone I lost a bit of money cuz I don't remember spending any of the money I took on the trip, also I can't remember suffering from respiratory depression any of the days but there was only one day in particular I couldn't function and that's because of my alcohol consumption that day.

That is exactly what I am saying. You may overdose on APAP and feel pain, but the once the overdose subsides your liver will feel normal. You will not notice acute liver damage until it is too late to reverse it. Take care of your liver, bro.
