did heroin make you lose interest in coke?

seems like only time ill use coke now is when ive already copped dope and want a quick tease before the fun begins..

i find smoking crack high on dope just takes away from the dope effect but its cool to do before because the heroin will knock the coke psychosis right out of me

but... i wont lie i have never shot coke so ive never in theory speedballed

i used to smoke crack several times a week, but going to work at 7am after taking the last hit at 3am made for miserable times which i dont miss...

anyone feel the same? different? please share your thoughts.

heroin made me lose interest in most of all drugs except opioids and coincidentally since i have quit dope i've been interested in the durgs i used to do. it's basically because the heroin high is superior to anything else, it's just the buying on the street thing that pisses me off.

When I was a big dopehead I was the same. Only bought coke when I had for sure extra extra money (just in case you go through too much dope too fast) and was already banged out. But damn - the IV rush of good raw coke already jammed on dope is amazing - until the coke succeeds the dope. Then with your shaky hands you gotta set up another dope shot to chill out.

After trying my first opiate in high school which was Oxycodone, I quit everything even weed. Now I just do opiates, benzos, and drink.

Yep, same here. I don't smoke pot anymore and I used to be a daily smoker. Opiates and booze, thats about it for me. Now if there was some godamn acid around, I'd probably eat that once in awhile.

i actually end up doing more coke if i have something like heroin or another opiate to get me through the edginess of coke. Last week I was on an opiate binge, i think i did coke like 6 days out of 8. I never touch coke unless i have something to smooth it out. Actually I dont think Ill ever do coke again unless i have opiates, benzos take off the edge, but nothing cures the comedown, like a good dose of opiates.

I enjoy the occasional freebase smoking prior to injecting dope, it makes it just that more tolerable. My pot and booze intake goes way down when I have a habit.

Other than that, No heroin did not make me lose intrest in coke, coke made me lose intrest in itself.

Well I was never a big fan of coke, it was more methamphetamine. When I first started using opiates (morphine, heroin then onto pharms) my interest in stimulants definetely dropped significantly... and it's obvious why.

After doing dope for awhile I started using coke because the dope was only getting me unill and the coke was buzz.If you use dope long enough there will come a point where it only gets you unsick and not high and you'll find a replacement buzz while keeping a maintenence dose of dope handy.Unless you are rich dope will not do the trick anymore alone.
But to answer your question once I started dope I quit everything else except drinking because when drunk the dope feels way better.But drinki8ng and dope mixed(especially if you shoot) is real dangerous because you make bad judgements and it's easy to OD.I sadly buried one of my friends because of it,yet I still want to use!Sick shit,isn't it?

I used morphine for about 2 months (daily) and then quit, didn't touched opiates for a long time and fell in love with coke. I never got ADDICTED to coke, never used it more than 3 times a week I think... About a year and a few months ago I lost my fear of opiates and have been using heroin like 2-4 times a month, never more than that. I also, most recently, started to do oxy once in a while, either for a change or to be more social and less noddy, but to answer your question..... NO! I still LOVE my cocaine. But if I was addicted to H I'd probably spend alot more money on it than on coke (after I'd built up a considerable tolerance)

I was just the opposite..I used heroin to come down off coke..
I always liked coke more..the feeling of it..heroin took away the jones..and well sometimes it was just fun to do speedballs..

heroin's nice to use as "landing gear" from coke....if I'm up doing coke all night, start to get edgy when it runs out, and gave a nice rig full of dark brown goodness waiting for me, it's definitely a welcoming thing to have...

In the shortest possible answer, opiates made me lose interest in almost all other drugs.

And this is considering I don't mess around with banging. I have a needle phobia and I can't stand the thought of something permeating my skin. It will literally make me drop to the ground cold if someone pricks me with a needle.

Seriously you should ween off of coke if your doing that much. Life can't be one big party (trust me I've tried, after awhile it just breaks you down). I would suggest switching to a safer drug if you can't stop using. Try bupe. It's a hell of a lot safer and less addicting than H or oxy, but if you don't have a tremendous tolerance to opiates it will make you higher than shit. And it comes in sublinguals which can easily be crushed and insufflated.

If you are interested in trading down to a lesser drug then I'd do it but in my opinion coke and dope addictions are equally bad.I've had friends that were straight up crackheads and started sniffing dope and thought it was amazing how they got off the rock.At first they only used little amounts of dope here and there and was much cheaper then coke.Now 10 years later and some have croaked and others thier dope tolerance is so bad they are doing borderline lethal shots to straight for a few hours here and there.
In my opinion if you are that bad either get some help or try trading down because you won't ween yourself off of coke but instead pick up a just as bad heroin addiction or worse both.

I find that I can only do coke only a few days in a row, while I could do heroin every day. I've been using coke since the mid 80's but compared to heroin, there is no contest.

Maybe its just getting older, don't need to be uppity. Want to be opiated.

not coke, but meth yeah. I would take any strong opiate over meth any day, unfortunately here in alaska meth can be found every other street corner, while heroin is non-existant, and OC's are very rare.

Ever since i was introduced to Opiates (hydrocodone, oxycontin,heroin.)

I quickly lost my passion and likings for amphetamines/cocaine. They put me in a miserable ass mood where i hated life so much, and the worst part was that i rarely had something to calm my anxiety and kill the crash. Uppers really made me psychotic, i would spend like 5 hours on my rug looking for little pieces of drug for hours, knowing i won't even get high, it was a TERRIBLE way to live on SPEED, At first it was a beautiful high, but now i don't know why i totally lost my appetite for it, but i'm glad, it must of been the work of a higher power.

Now that i'm using mostly heroin i really don't want to get high on any other drugs, EXCEPT ecstacy. I totally lost my appetite for marijuana, when i first started smoking it, i was giggly, happy, and it took the pain away. But now all pot does is when i smoke it i get depressed it lets me take a look at my life and see how much of a fool i'm acting and that my disease is slowly fucking up my life. At the same time it is wonderful that it knocks some common sense in to me..it totally makes me a productive member of society, and not crave for drugs n shit. But too bad i can't smoke it because i'm on probation, it would really protect my future.
