Did/has IV administration become "boring" for you?

Why am I here?

Wondering of your experiences regarding such... Boring is probably a little too understated a term, rather than, say, unfulfilling?

It's still as intense as ever for myself, after 2 weeks... but makes me near sick instead of enjoying during use

For me it basically went like this...tried smack the first time ever via IV administration, same night tried coke the first time in my life via IV administration...thought it was awesome, wanted to shoot whatever I could...got addicted to smack about 3-4 months down the road and was only concerned with aquiring it so that I could shoot it, and that was it. No, I never got sick of it, it just became more of a 'regular thing.' It was just what I did, snorting it was out of the question...IV use was just one of my daily routines that happened. I think pretty much any addict won't say they ever got bored with it, just moreso became like any other daily task.

nope.

i think i'd get bored with the heroin before the needle.

being clean i have more cravings to stick a needle in my fuckin arm then to get heroin. strange...

I'm with staind rose here, I crave sticking a needle in my arm more than the drugs themself. When I'm offered coke & I'm in a situation where I cant bang it then I can say no, if I can bang it then I'm dying to do it. As for doing H any other way, well i HATE it, i mean I still will do it but I'm wishing that I could be IVing it.

I didn't grow anymore bored of it than I do with drug use in general...that is, usually after a few months, I no longer to desire to do a drug...regardless of how I do it.

I have, however, become more anxious about my use...I have hit a nerve before, and I've missed a couple times....very upsetting experiences for me, and as I already suffer from anxiety, these incidences made IVing less pleasurable for me...I've also had bad experiences with having medical professionals stick needles in me -- not very reassuring!

I still plan on IVing a few substances if they come my way, but all in all I feel that I'm done with most of my IV use.

I used to IV lots of amphetamine and methamphetamine, but eventually got "bored" of that route of admin. It was mainly because the novelty wore off, and I could more clearly weigh up the risk vs benefit. I decided it was too risky for too little benefit.

It still inject meth occasionally (once a year or so) but I worked out that oral ingestion is heaps more euphoric and longer lasting. It also has less side effects generally, so it was a pragmatic decision that I basically got over injecting regularly.

I think its a myth that once you've injected you'll never go back :)

When I first stuck a needle in my arm I was addicted--to the needle. This didn't last long, however--I got tired of having to wear long sleeves all the time, hiding what I was doing from people that didn't accept it, etc. Well, that and it builds up your tolerance faster.

I don't think injecting myself will ever be boring to me. However, I rarely inject. Personally, I think the only way to truly experience cocaine is via IV--but I will still snort it if I am in a social situation.

I love injection, but it carries added risk over snorting so I usually save it for a special occasion. Maintain by snorting, get high by banging(heroin, that is).

Like someone above said, I've injected myself many times but I can always go back to snorting and enjoy it.

Like everybody else has said, the first time I did it, I thought I would never do anything else any other way. For a while there was just something about sticking the needle in my arm that thrilled me.

After a while, that just wore off. I guess once I had done it enough and the novelty kind of wore off, I just decided that although the most economical (in terms of amount of drug used, not necessarily financially) route of administration, I was just tired of doing it. I've done it occasionally since then, and I still love it, but I just cant imagine sticking a needle in your arm several times a day every day.

After I started using opiates IV, i became interested in trying other drugs using this method, because the nature of the high changed significantly. Once the novelty wore off and my arms started to look disgusting, the process started to sicken me, but at that point i was addicted to taking opiates via this method. I still inject drugs, but not with the fervor that I once did.....

Not having time to read the rest right now but really wanting to respond here... I think the single most enjyoble part of my trip is seeing that little stream of rich blood draw and pool in the crystal solution. Hahahaha well not so much the most enjoyable after I've hit the plunger, but probably the climax of expectation and wait... and definitely the most interesting and enticing

Yes, using IV is boring i've done for about 6 & half years it's just a normal part of my life now go to work, come home have plug of ICE. I wont touch smack and i haven't for 2yrs and counting I've got the FEEL FOR THE STEEL

IV use is an addiction in itself, no matter what the drug when IV becomes enjoyable every substance you take you want to inject it. I wouldn't say its boring to me its my prefered way to take Meth, Herion, Coke. I couldn't imagine taking them any other route. Its the most effective but has the most risks. If im clean from Herion and im past the cravings the need for IV still remains and subsituting other drugs usually happens.
