Nope not at all. You get caught up in the whole pill thing too easily and start thinking it's the best thing you've ever done. It's not, it's a drug, it can be fun but it doesn't change your life if you ask me. It can change it in a bad way but I don't see how any positive things that can really come from it.

I used a low dose of E to decrease anxiety during a job interview and got the job so yeah, E definately changed my life.

Then there's all the spiritual, happiness shit it bless's you with.

i agree with the spirtual and happiness.. its a great feeling.. i found when i discovered ecstasy.. i became more open to people. and generally could talk to anyone not like before due to my shyness.. :)

I'd say when I first tried ecstasy a couple of years ago it did open me up alot and help me to be comfortable in my intuition.
I ended up abusing the drug though and falling into a big hole of depression, but after going through that and dealing with alot of my issues I found I matured very quickly and became a very strong person from the experience.
I would have to strongly disagree patte4dm, sorry mate :) I think there is a reason we do dabble in drugs and it's basis comes from a longing for being in touch with someting above the mundane life a big part of society live in.
I think the energy is however misdirected as the peak of any drug will always fade, but the intention is very good. If you can use that intention to search for truth through meditation and spirituality reaching a place of permanent infinite joy and bliss is more than possible. It is our purpose.
That's been my discovery through past drug usage.

Love and light :D

I don't know, I don't see the justification of using Ecstasy more than once to "Change your life". I think any more than that and it starts creating false feelings and ideas that aren't practical in the real world.

A lot of people have regularly used things like LSD in the past to solve complex problems or come up with new innovative ideas, or a better understanding of things around them. I think people who try to do that with MDMA are fucking themselves up.

ecstasy taught me about one thing: ecstasy (the drug, not the state of being)

To summerise:

Positives: More happy, open, friendly, kind, loving, personal, honest, empathatic, interested, excited, tactile, perceptive, musical, thoughtful, wise, articulate, understanding, and i think i have a much greater ability to see the truth, although we can never know for certain something is true, i think i am more adept at finding what i percieve to be true.

The list just goes on, althogh i can't think of more right now. I can't fathom how people can say drugs haven't effected their lives. The truth is that although most of these changes are temporary, it is very possible to come away with many personal changes that last. Temporary changes for the better in personality may have a profound effect on how you choose to operate when not under the influence. It is very possible to come away with a greater understanding of who you are, your problems, where you want to go, what you want to aim for in life etc....

Negatives: Come downs, minimal depression (by my standards), expenses, often becoming too candid...That's about all i can think of

Now some will argue the positive effects most people experience as fake, and simply chemically induced, so not really resulting from who you are. I would argue that ecstacy effects different people differently depending on who they are, i think it exagerates traits that are often latent in many people. Of course you shouldn't rely on it for happiness, or any other benefits, you should instead be trying to integrate what you have learned about yourself into your everyday life. So at least in your own perception, you can became a so called 'better person'.

I believe ecstacy is very much the right drug for me given my mental problems, it feels like therapy. Shame it doesn't work nearly as well since starting on the meds...........BIG SIGH

I've used ecstasy 2 times in my life. I didn't use it to look cool of just to get fucked up, I used it to just become a better person. And from my experiences I have become a better person. Both times I've done it I did it with all of my best friends. I didn't think us group of friends could possibly become better friends, but it happened. Ecstasy has taught me how much friends really mean and just how much I really care about things. It also taught me not to take things for granted. I think ecstasy is possibly one of the best things a person can do, as long as its USED not ABUSED. How has ecstasy changed your life?

I didn't read the whole thread, so I'm just going to reply to the original post.

I know exactly how you feel, I got in conversations I never thought of with my closest friends when I rolled with them. I'm currently on a ecstasy break, but don't lose the magic nor the magic of talking with your friends and let the ecstasy become just a 'thing to do'. That's when I realized I needed a break. Sounds like you're respecting it though, so have fun and be safe ;)

Ohh ya we are respeting it and loving it.

Thanks for all the great replies everyone. Keep them coming and let us know how you feel about the subject.

Mixed thoughts.....

Seems many people seem to have the same outlook when it comes to X, i myself have the same opinion, though for the real true turnover for a better me took maybe 2 years, yeah i had my inital 1st time, "i'm a better person" but 2 years after i started I really do look back at the most amazing times I've had with friends, conversations, missions walking or driving and the whole closeness it connects you with everything"

I look back and do wonder what would I be doing now if I never tried it, would I want to find out? Probably not, the experiences I've had could never be replaced.....

I reflect on what X has taught me, or to what I teach myself, life is great, life is what you make of it, and I like to thank the X for helping me to what I have become and achieved today.

I've had a break for 2 years now, I'm back on it and loving every minute of it, im far from finished with my chem experiences (apart from acid) and I know I have many more amazing times to look forward to.

So go do what you've always wanted.......... And enjoy life.....

Oh yes taking drugs is one of the best things a person can do. How about giving 2 the needy? This drug has given you a false sense of happiness. I have done it & it is an interesting chemical, the sad fact is: Something this good will come @ a price that we will pay for when were older

Have you any evidence for this? Or is it just christian hellfire and damnation "The Lord will strike ye sinners down for feeling good" thing?

How about giving 2 the needy?

I give to the needy too (well actually i prefer giving to endangered animals) but that makes me feel good in a different way.

hmm, ive never done huge amounts, but i never thought E could be a drastic as you guys say. Yea possibly im more openminded to people, but i don't think it has changed me in any major sense. I always thought ecstasy was about dancing, and hard electronic beats! I suppose its changed me into a better dancer though...!

Wow, where would I be without MDMA? The same place that I am now, with a different outlook on life. I tried MDMA for different reasons then most people. After researching the chemical for years and debating the psychological uses of it, I decided to try it. Since then, I have dedicated a large portion of my personal and professional life to the public education of the "research chemicals". Yes, I take drugs... Yes, MDMA was the first drug that I had used in about 8 years... No MDMA is not the only drug that I do use... But I feel that a responsible user in todays society can be just as productive as a non-user.

I am happy that MDMA came into my life and that I found it at a time in my life that I could handle all that it took to do it responsibly. I do not think that it is for everyone and I do not think that EVERYONE should try it, but for the people who can handle it, it is an amazing little pill!

Just wanted to add - Ecstasy's got similar things going on with confidence/social skills to alcohol, in terms of just loosening you up, stopping you overthinking every action, but with Ecstasy you're lucid enough to realise that you don't *need* to be in that state to do it, it was just you minus some paranoia.
Lots of people end up thinking they need to be drunk to be in certain situations, but E just teaches you what you're capable of.

alcohol=stupidity, disorientation, dangerous amounts of confidence that will ultimately end in someone getting hurt, lack of respect, lack of consideration for others, inability to think about consequences of actions with any clarity, etc...

So if you drew a graph of amount consumed against likelihood of that person getting involved in some kind of negative incident, it would go up up up!

Oh, did i mention i'm not an avid supporter or alcohol? LOL, never found a single enjoyable drink, never drink it anymore, rarely did before

MDMA has changed my view and belief on a couple of things in life. With MDMA I now know what harmony sort of feels like and thats a new goal for me in life.

Im starting to loosen up a bit, and MDMA has something to do with it.

No it hasn't given me a false sense of happiness. If its used correctly it can be beneficial to many people. I just think you're an idiot

The hidden curriculum to X

What up people....I am a close friend of the creator of this thread Megalomania....I was with rollin' on ecstasy with him the times that he did it....and can back up the statement of growing closer.
I know there's controversy about the whole drug, especially from people who haven't experienced it or even tried to learn for themselves what the drug is about. It gets me upset when conditioned thoughts like "this is a drug" "you're taking this drug and it's going to hurt you" rule a person's mind. I think the hidden curriculum behind any roll on ecstasy is to learn just what kind of Love is inside of us all to give and receive. To me, the point to rolling is to learn how to roll without taking the drug.

There is quite a difference between using and abusing

First of all do you even know the Lord? & 2nd so your saying that taking these drugs isnt going 2 be bad for us? Were going 2 be just as healthy & mentally fit b4 we used them? Reality check. It's a know fact that drugs are bad. Yes they can be fun i wont lie about that, but that fun comes @ a price.
