Why not just get professional treatment for the PTSD instead of doing this to cope?
Dealing with the symptoms short term with the risk of trouble from "dodgy" benzo dosing, is only going to cosh the symptoms short term not teach you how to really cope with them long term.![]()
Could you not maybe heat it gently to evapourate some water and raise the alcohol %age. Before adding in the diclaz?8
Another option is to pour standard vodka into a shallow dish and put in the freezer overnight. Next day, simply remove the layer of ice and voilà! The remaining liquid is much purer alcohol.
I've no idea if this works in practice, but theoretically it should as the freezing point of ethanol is -119°C
Since as PG is a pain to get andninbolves going online. Could you not just buy a bottle of boots glycerol and dump the diclaz in that .....or as mentioned before just a bottle of bof standard vodka...would this not dossolve it for volumetric dosing?
You get concentration, but it will be a higher % product instead of freezing all the water out and being left with pure alcohol. Assuming there's no eutectics, the concentration of the frozen product will scale linearly as the temperature goes from 0C to -119C. That should be roughly correct anyway, it's been a while since I revised this stuff for chemicals instead of metal alloys and most metal alloys form eutectics, which throws everything off.
Oh I know the ethanol wouldn't be pure, but it must considerably increase its concentration. Just a thought; would the old trick of dehydrating Epsom salts in the oven then adding to the remaining liquid work to further reduce the water content?
