Diazpeam (Valium)

Some people claim that they feel "fucked up" for like a day but the initial duration is no more than 3-6 hours. There may be some subtle effects that linger on. I was prescribed it for awhile to taper off my clonazepam and it lasted maybe 4 hours tops.

I suffer anxiety so benzodiazepines can be of great relief. So they certainly make me feel good, but not "euphoric" (with exception of Temazepam). If your looking to get "high" I wouldn't suggest benzodiazepines. They are mostly for anxiety relief, muscle relaxation and to induce sleep. They can cause loss of inhibition and make you more social
 
Hi, Temazepam is not available, I live in EU.

I don't exactly look out for something to get f*cked up on... if the side effect would be like it - so be it - however I'm looking more for a relaxation, muscle relief, not sleeping any soon after the ingestion and a neat social interaction if any.

Something in that way; a subtle body high with a positive mind-set.

I believe my questions have been answered, so thanks you all and see you in some time again :).

First time benzo ever:
-10mg Diazepam for therapeutic use (killing anxiety; easing a comedown...)
-20mg to get a very nice high

(taking 20mg Diazepam when you have never taken a benzo in your life is one of the best high ever... I'll never forget this first time I took 2 Valiums with a beer...)

Yes, the initial duration for most benzo's, even long lasting ones, is around 3-9 hrs. However, there are benzos which linger on with substantial after effects. This is true especially of the nitro-benzodiazepines, which clonazepam is a family member of.

For example, nitrazepam is an intermediate-long acting benzo with an half-life of only 15-38 hrs (not all that long, especially when compared to diazepam, flurazepam, clonazepam and other benzos), it kicks in about 20-30 mins after ingestion and the duration of action is roughly 6-12 hours, but the lingering effects the next day are quite strong.

The same is true of flunitrazepam, which is really not a long acting benzo because it's half life is only 18-26 hrs. But it has highly active and potent metabolites which can last up to 200 hours. Anyone who has taken flunitrazepam knows what I'm talking about - the next day hangover is extremely strong (just like nitrazepam).

Clonazepam's hangover isn't as strong because it's pharmacological effects are weaker than other nitro benzos, so naturally the hangover effect will not be as strongly felt. Plus, it's an anxiolytic benzo, whereas most other nitro benzos are hypnotics. The same is true of diazepam, flurazepam, and other long acting benzos (though these aren't nitro benzos).

Where in EU?

Temazepam is available in a lot of European countries, but it's almost always classed differently than all other benzos due to diversion, widespread abuse, and overdose deaths. I know it's banned in Sweden, Norway, and it's highly restricted everywhere else in the EU.
 
Hmmmm.....not sure about Slovakia.

I know in Slovenia temazepam is regulated as a Group II (Schedule 2) controlled substance under The Production and Trade in Illicit Drugs Act. Other benzos in Slovenia are Group III (Schedule 3). SOURCE

In Norway it goes like this:


Medicines in Norway are divided into five groups:

Class A Narcotics, sedative-hypnotics, and amphetamines in this class require a special prescription form:

morphine and its immediate family, heroin, desomorphine, nicomorphine;
codeine and its immediate family, dihydrocodeine, ethylmorphine, nicocodeine;
morphine relatives: hydromorphone and oxymorphone;
codeine relatives: hydrocodone and oxycodone;
synthetic opioids: pethidine, methadone, fentanyl, and levorphanol;
various sedative-hypnotics: temazepam, methaqualone, pentobarbital, and secobarbital;
various stimulants: amphetamines and methylphenidate;
flunitrazepam (recently moved from class B)

Class B Restricted substances which easily lead to addiction like:

co-codamol, diazepam, nitrazepam, and all other benzodiazepines (with the exception of temazepam and flunitrazepam), phentermine;

Class C - All prescription-only substances
Class F - Substances and package-sizes not requiring a prescription
Unclassifieds - Brands and packages not actively marketed in Norway. Temazepam is listed under here also since it cannot be prescribed in Norway.

alcohol needed or not?

I will be taking some 10mg blue valium for first time at weekend. I am on 45ml methadone daily, is it best to have a beer or 3 with the pills and should I swallow them whole or let disolve under my tongue. Any advice would be great thanks

blue roche valiums can't really be taken sublingually, they take too long to dissolve... depends how much valium you take and how tolerant you are as to whether or not you should drink beer with your vals... booze potentiates benzos exponentially
 
I am getting 5 x 10mg blue valium pills. Was going to take one with a beer then wait an hour to see how I feel then drop another pill if I feel its required.
Not gonna drink a lot of beer as have lost the taste for alcohol since having a heroin habit.

You should feel the valium within 20-30 minutes,first time use id suggest maybe just taking it on its own without alcohol and then wait to see how you feel then maybe have a beer and see how you are....then possibly more valium.

Thanks for the advice I will try it without the beer first then see how I get on. Always best to hear from people who have actually done it.

I always suggest taking the entire amount that you plan to take at once but with benzos I suppose taking x dose and then x dose an hour later is fine. maxalife- I'd recommend you start with 20mg and then another 10mg an hour later if you feel like you need more.

Im glad you mentioned that Kokaino my friend because Temazepam is very much avalible in the Eu. In respect to the uk there is some what of a epedemic espesially north of the border IE scotland. As far as classifications is concerned i belive its a class c drug good luck my friend.
 
Maxalfie if its your first time using benzos DO NOT even contemplate the thought of mixing them with alcohol my friend im speaking from personel experience. Because of the very similar effects on the brain it would be like tipping water on to hot fat the 2 would colide buddie. Develope some experience with the substances all good things come 2 those who wait and use common sence. I still react very differently to this day with that combination buddie and ive been using benzos 4 ,7 years and drinking 4 ,15 so test the waters with the one substance buddie better 2 be safe then sorry good luck and enjoy
