Diazepam, Hydrocodone & Red Bull

I've been lurking on these forums for quite some time, anytime I need answers this is the place I come.

Anyways... today I didn't have my normal fix of opiates so I decided to take some diazepam to keep me calm.
I took 5mg at 2PM and another 5mg at 7PM to wind for the night.
Then a friend calls and says he coming into town for Thanksgiving and that he's bringing me 20mg of hydros & a red bull so we can play Call of Duty all night lol.
He says he should get in around 11:30PM so I should be fine since i'm not taking it all at the same time.
I know the dangers of mixing opiates and benzos, but at such low doses and spread out I should be fine.
However I'd rather be safe and ask, plus i'm having a debate with someone who says I shouldn't do it.
So I figure this would be the best place to end the debate lol.

Also I would like to add that I have a high tolerance to opiates & benzos.

It really depends on your tolerance to each. "High tolerance" is not very specific. And if you can feel 20mg of hydrocodone I would not consider that a high tolerance to opioids.

When taking them close together it's best to take a much lower dose of each than you would normally take. The Red Bull could also mask some of the effects, like sedation, leading you to think you're not being affected by the diazepam + hydrocodone as you actually are. Personally I think I'd wait, because even if it might not be a potentially life-threatening risk, it could be a potentially black-out inducing risk.

You do almost a 80 a day and your worried about mixing a 10 mg valuim in with some weak hydrocodones The Point that you need to get is that its much smarter to go to bed now and have a good holiday tomorrow instead of staying up all night getting high playing video games the night before thanksgiving No disrespect dude but the latter is a bad idea going to bed with a valuim now good idea

The OP doesn't really sound concerned with sleeping for the holiday lol...

It's just a fair warning to be super cautious with combining opiates with benzodiazepines. Many have died from this cocktail due to the combined sedative effects, especially respiratory depression.

I personally haved used the benzo + opiate combo many times due to my high tolerance. Even if your tolerant and know your shit, it can still go south.

that's exactly why I even asked...
I might have a high tolerance but I know mixing benzos & opiates could be bad.
having no experience with the combination I wanted to be sure.
Yeah I should've just went to bed but I wanted to hang out with my friend plus I got free hydros lol

Anyways all went ok I didn't feel the hydros (which I expected)
wasn't tired from the valium & stayed up until 5AM.
Woke up at 10AM feeling fine & now i'm ready to eat & watch football.
Didn't get high but was able to stay up late & chill with my friend which was really the whole point.

Valium > Hydros anyday haha. I was on Suboxone and dope for so long, I truly doubt I could feel hydrocodone even know that I've been fairly clean since I got outta rehab. I fucking desensitized my receptors lol.

Glad all went well and who would complain about some free hydro?

I would not do it. Im only 25 and ive lost good friends to poly drug use. Id just stay away. Tell him to come by tommorrow or the next day because of valiums long ass half life (active metabolites up to 200hrs).
