I took two 10mg valiums about an hour ago and man I feel so fucking great.
This drug is seriously underappreciated and that's why I'm making this thread. A lot of people say benzos have no recreational value but this is complete bullshit.
I've been using them recreationally most weekends for about 3 years now and it NEVER gets old. It's just such a feeling of total serenity and bliss. It renders me totally incapable of giving a fuck about anything, increases my appreciation for music and makes food taste absolutely AMAZING... weed munchies ain't got shit on diazemunchies. I also get increased tactile sensations from it. And that loose, sloppy muscle relaxation is just beautiful.
You really can't beat a few of these bad boys as a messy weekend treat. I bet this is what Jordan Belfort from Wolf of Wall Street must have fet like off those quaaludes... all I want to to right now is fuck and party.

This stuff is better than opiates and flake cocaine. It's got to be my all-time favorite non-psychedelic drug.

Certain people love benzos, others find them boring, it comes down to your personality really.

Lemme guess... Are you normally of a nervous disposition with depressive tendencies? Find it hard to loosen up around other people when sober? Constantly tense and wound up?

Then yeah you'll probably love benzos. In terms of partying and connecting to other people, you might feel great, but they really kind of dampen down your personality and intelligence, especially in large doses.

Quaaludes have a different feel to them, certainly more recreational than valium, I'd say their like a more euphoric version of alcohol.

If you think valium makes you.wanna fuck, party, and listen to music, then may I suggest MDMA?

the only benzo out of all the ones i've tried that is truly awesome fun is the 30mg temazepam capsules.

Valium is way better than Xanax for me. Xanax is a powerful anxiolytic but it doesn't have that sloppiness.

Mainly I just use them as an alternative to alcohol. I HATE the feeling of being drunk - Valium feels way cleaner and more euphoric.
I do have ASPD and anger issues as well. Valium does a great job of killing the boredom and the rage.

How do quaaludes compare to GHB?
GHB is supposed to be one of the most euphoric sedatives out there but valium is more recreational for me.

GHB is more euphoric than benzos or quaaludes. It tickles the GABA receptors at a different site, and also the GHB receptors, causing a cascade effect that also increases dopamine. The result is disinhibition and freedom from tension, but also a surge of euphoric energy and sexuality. Guarantee you'd love it if you can find it.

Phenibut is a dirt-cheap supplement freely available in the US (just search google) that is also a GABA B agonist, like GHB. It doesnt hit the GHB receptor, but it has the advantage of being very long lasting (like 12 hours) and producing a more natural, subtle euphoria and relaxation. It sounds like you'd probably love it also, if you do get some, be careful, it can cause brutal dependence and the withdrawal can be horrendous.

Quaaludes are sloppier than benzos, more like alcohol in a pill, really gets your inner wobble on. I don't find benzos to be euphoric at all really, unless I'm really anxious or dependent on downers. Then the relief from tension is euphoric in and of itself.

I've had GHB loads of times. Never bothered with Phenibut because I have a contact for GHB.
It's great stuff and I like that it's supposed to elevate growth hormone levels (I go to the gym a lot), but I still prefer diazepam. GHB is a very happy chemical but it's not as powerful a muscle relaxant as I had expected.

If ludes are sloppier than benzos then I really need to try and get hold of some.

I also want to try Soma and Klonopin - they sound pretty enjoyable.

Yeah, GHB was used as a supplement for bodybuilders before it gained widespread use as a club drug - and unfortunately also as a date rape drug. Phenibut also stimulates GH in sufficient doses.

Soma will definitely add a lot of sloppiness to any downer. It's a great potentiator for opiates and benzos, as long as you don't have any work to do! As I'm sure you know mixing downers can be dangerous.

Can't believe you find diazepam more euphoric than G, to each his own I guess. Klonopin is a bit more potent than diazepam, but more mellow than alprazolam.

And ludes are super hard to find in the states, the only ones I had were produced in a clandestine lab. They're big in South Africa I guess, and people smoke them on top of weed.

I completely agree with op, gabaergics are my DOC too. Opiates are cool, but they don't give me that awesome appreciation of music and munchies like gabaergics do, and they also give me a pletora of nasty side effects, so I give them 2nd place. I've tried all kinds of drugs, but the only drug that got me physically addicted are benzos. One interesting thing I noticed with diazepam; taken orally is more sedating and muscle relaxing but not that euphoric and after 20 minutes of relaxation I just start yawning and feel like shit. That's why I never was that much into diazepam. However, last night I took it under my lip for the first time and, I don't know why and how, but I suddenly found my self in that magical land once again, like the first time, I felt like my receptors suddenly were reset, from just 5 mg, and I fried my receptors with ridiculously large doses in the past 10 years. The only thing that blows benzos out of the water for me was thiopental, but I had that only once when I was in hospital, it was beyond everything I've ever felt.

I enjoy Valium quite a bit too, OP. I prefer it to other more popular benzodiazepines like Xanax and temazepam, definitely. (2 mg Klonopin is my favorite, though.)

I'm not sure that I'd choose Valium over flake cocaine but it's definitely a good drug, as far as pharmaceuticals are concerned. (However, the point about it deadening your intelligence and personality is definitely valid, for me anyway, and is never something I've liked about that family of drugs, which is why I prefer to be alone whenever I take them.)
