Diazepam 50mg and Codeine 450mg (CWE)?

I knew it would be until about 6:30pm until I get my normal opiates tonight - so to get to the point:

I took 50mgs of Diazepam this morning and I have x15 30/500mg codeine tablets that I'm considering CWE'ing.
Will the Diazepam potentiate the codeine? I need the codeine for the chills and the Diazepam for the anxeity/muscular relaxation as WD's are on the way...

I'm not too sure about the dosages involved or your tolerance, but Diazepam has a pretty long half-life (between 20 and 100 hours depending on individual metabolism). Opiates and benzos have a synergistic effect, but taking them both together also increases the risk of respiratory depression. I'd wait for someone else a bit more experienced to respond before taking the codeine.

Due to my impulsive nature I've already downed half the codeine CWE extraction, and (of course) following my last mouthful I get the call for my pick up. Still interested in the synergy between these two regardless as if its relatively harmless then I wouldnt mind doing it again when such dire straits happen upon me.

I'm under the assumption that yer waiting on rather strong Opiates (gear?).
If so then the Codeine won't be too much. The Diazepam, well I've no idea your tolerance to Benzos.
What I'd be worried about is, as az5000 stated - Diazepam's got a very long H.L. so if you are to use your stronger Opiates later you need to be careful.

I disagree a little bit. Even non-tolerant people need massive doses of strong opioids and benzodiazepines for any dangerous kind of resp. depression to occur. The doses you mentioned, anyone can handle.

^ Not true at all! I know of someone who had a respiratory arrest on 30mg oral morphine. Some people are more sensitive than others, and saying that non-tolerant people need massive doses of strong opioids and benzos to be in danger is wrong on so many levels I don't even know where to start...

Moderate doses of opioids can kill non tolerant people. Combining opioids and benzos can kill people even with a high tolerance, if they misjudge things even just a little. These are risky drugs, especially when combined, and it is far to easy to go overboard. Take a look at the BL shrine, and please don't make statements like that, it is the exact opposite of harm reduction.

Anyway, back to the OP.. it entirely depends on your tolerance. The dose of codeine isn't huge, but 50mg diaz is a lot for some people and combining CNS depressants can be very dangeous. It's impossible for us to say without knowing more about your tolerance etc.. so go steady.

Sorry but no. I've seen 2 kids OD at the same party from ~.4 of Heroin to each of them, and a different friend OD'd on 60mg Roxycodone IR a few years back. All parties mentioned are fine now, and I think only 1 of the 3 still uses opiates, but regardless.

I've seen too many people get sick from their doses to where I got fairly nervous for their well-being. Tread carefully with CNS depressant drugs!

Exactly. CNS depressants can be very dangerous, on their own, in combination, for people with no tolerance or people with huge tolerance if they overdo things. End of.
