Diarrhoea - Main withdrawal symptom?

Ok, so whenever I use opiates too frequently, for a while - even 2-3 times a week for a month or so and then stop. I always get 'loose' bowels.
Like at the moment, I have been using tramadol, poppy tea, or codeine at slightly less than daily for about 12 days or so. Mainly the tea.
So 2 days ago at about 1pm I took 8 30/500 co-codamol tablets (please no lectures on how 4,000mg paracetamol all at once is stupid) and felt nothing so got a bit concerned and decided that'd be it for a while.
Yesterday I noticed I was a bit anxious, went for what felt like a normal morning crap and it practically exploded out of me entirely liquid. But that was it, just the once. Today it happened again only the urgency to go was much worse, then 1 hour later I went again which freaked me out so I ended up popping 60mg of codeine. Other than very mild anxiety, sweating and craving this is my only symptom.

It's just surprising in that in all the medical reports for opiate withdrawal grading I read diarrhoea is only supposed to occur in like the "moderately severe/grade 3-4" cases.
So what's this all about? Is it just that everyone is different? I know that this hardly qualifies as the "loose liquid diarrhoea flowing freely from you all over your bedsheets every hour" that heroin withdrawal says but still, just wondered what everyone thinks...

P.S. Don't I paint a pretty picture ;)

DHC would get me pretty constipated, I wasn't physically addicted but would still get diarrhea when it would wear off.

I recommend you try using something like Immodium/loperamide instead of more DHC to counteract it :)

If thats your main sympton count your blessings and quit now. My main symptom is insomnia followed by intense lower back and leg pain. I dont get diarehia even in full blown WD I dont reaaly know why I think it has to do with my poor diet and constipation problems.

I've always envied (believe it or not) those who get diarrhea as a withdrawl symptom. When I do a bunch of opiates, i'm backed up for at least a week until the point where I shit out something the size and shape of my arm and it feels like I'm giving birth to a family of hindus.

Strike that, Fornax55 paints the best picture.

And yea I reckon I'll stop for a bit then. I don't want to bother with loperamide because I want my bowel function to just return to normal by itself. Mind you it's causing me to lose weight quite a bit, I think I'm barely absorbing my food properly...

I wish diarrhea was all I had to worry about during w/d.
You seem to be having very mild withdrawal. I assure you if you keep using daily - diarrhea, mild anxiety, and craving will be the least of your worries.

But, yeah. Imodium (loperamide) is a must for diarrhea during w/d.

Speaking of w/d...I only have a few days of tramadol left and the refill is not allowed until next Thursday (26th) the earliest. So..yeah... :-(
I think I can get some hydrocodone to tide me over until refill date when I run out of tram on Monday. That'll be better than nothing.
