Diagnosed with anxiety but having a hard time getting script benzos

people is taking it as a detox med and then, during the detox process, people may say "fuck it, I will have a opiate hit" when they still have clonidine in their system. That's very dangerous and it's not the first person who have died due to Catapres/ opiate combos, most of times just out of ignorance
this right here is the truth. I have been saying on this forum to spread the word. the half-life is long which makes it even more dangerous

I was taking clonidine to manage BP at night, and for whatever reason say before I took it my BP would be 159/98 ish with a HR of 81 , I’d take it and test BP 45 mins later and it would read 109/60 with a HR of 120 give or take. This shit was freaking me out. I haven’t figured out why it skyrockets my heart rate like that. But has anybody experienced this or have some sort of idea
Were you already feeling considerable anxiety leading up to taking it? Is there a possibility that you are making yourself anxious first? I apologize, I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I've done the same thing myself.
Benzos are going to get increasingly more difficult to get because of the addiction factor. There are only 2 drugs that if stopped cold turkey can kill you; Benzos and alcohol. Not to mention how easy it is to mix with the wrong thing and the combo will kill you too. I knew a kid a couple of years ago who mixed a normal benzo dose with his normal methane dose and never woke up. It's scary stuff.

Hey everyone.

As you can probably tell from my handle, I’m in Canada. Was diagnosed with anxiety 5 or so years ago. And since then it’s been near impossible to get a dr to prescribe me any type of benzo. I feel like I could definitely benefit from them. I don’t like clonazepam as it’s too strong for me and turns me into a zombie. I had a one month script of lorazepam recently but that was from hitting the hospital and I wasn’t given any refills. And Ativan/lorazepam barely works for me. The amount I have to take to notice anything is 4-6 mg at once. So I found diazepam and nitrazepam to work best for me.

Is there a specific type of Dr i should be looking for?

And yes im an addict and I put down street drugs a while back so there is a possibility I might be flagged in the system as an addict. I don’t want to seem like im drug seeking (even though I guess I partially am)- but for medical reasons to have a better quality of life. My anxiety is crippling at times and I have the odd panic attack here and there. It’s tough because I know my pharmaceuticals and when you go into a dr with the attitude like knowing what you need they tend to view it as drug seeking.

It would be heaven to be able to get a script of diazepam as thats what’s worked for me in the past. I have coverage and all that but my only road to getting any real pharma benzos has been to order overseas. I would be grateful if anybody could help me out with how to approach this.

Thanks
Try to be honest and speak to your neurologist about benzodiazepines, mention that clonazepam Is top stromg for you so you won't look like addict seeking strong benzos like clonazepam or alorazolam. Also mention, that 6mg of lorazepam ( not low dose ) didn't work fór u. Told jim/her this and that u want to try diazepam ( for me it's very weak but IT still prevents seizures and relax my muscles better than alorazolam ). You will be given prescription for 5mg or 10mg pills if that doctor won't be a complete asshole.

I have a link to buy them but it’s not cheap and I do have insurance. The only thing is that Canadian diazepam (apo) are very weak and they barely work unless I take upwards of 25 MG. Thanks for your input I appreciate it

I do feel anxiety leading up to it. I wouldn’t call it self inflicted. I know how drug mixing is dangerous and I’m very aware of the dependency factors. It’s just tough to find a proper dr to help with this stuff. Unless you’re literally suicidal and acting crazy or coming off alcohol it’s pretty hard to get prescribed them. I may just have to stick with my international source , which has its own risks. I quite enjoyed the purple football IR 1 mg Xanax . But people noticed it in me for sure and would ask if I’m alright. (I have a support network around me that knows me well from my active addiction and keep them there for a reason as incentive not to relapse)
