looks like it, however what is to stop that molecule simply breaking into two gbls under whatever conditions..

under anhydrous conditions it shouldn't go to GHB...you need to add water to the gamma position eh?

If its just going to break down in to two ghb molecules in the body then it would just be like GBL but with no safety data. (?)

Doubt it exists at all except maybe in minute equilibrium quantities with the lactone.
