I couldn't find a mega thread, so I'm posting this asking peoples opinions on this? I've heard good things.

I'm currently trying NOT to bring Roxi/Oxy/Fent/Dope back into my life. However I love opiates and have learned my lesson so I have been using Tramadol, Tapentadol, MT-45, O-DT and can now get DHC.

Am I wasting my time?

A lot of people like DHC- the main thing about it is that it doesn't seem to have the same 'ceiling effect' as codeine, so there is more room to take large doses if you need them. On the flip side, if you do have a tolerance you will need to dose high...in my experience 100mg DHC was roughly equal 10mg oxy, so when my tolerance allowed for DHC abuse I'd take 400-800mg.

If you need more than the equivalent of 100mg of oxy to get off then it won't do much, but below that at the right dose it can be good. Despite being pretty weak by weight, it always hit harder than tramadol/tapentadol/O-DT.

Oh and it's oral bioavailability isn't that good, not as good as codeine- you can generally plug the pills and it definitely seems stronger. Suprisingly a lot of them gel really badly (the SR ones), but that doesn't matter for plugging.

Seiko's advice is always good, it's just often not based on personal experience.

I like it much more then codeine and tramadol. But i would watch doses higher then 300mg because the histamine release can be intense. I think if you mess with low potency/reacreational value opiates you are not far away from full blown addiction if you have been there already.

Yea I can't argue that. I'm just trying to stay away from the oldies I loved, but you're right; the path I'm headed towards is addiction.

The ONLY saving grace is I have had friends die over opi/benz combos and I take those. So my DHC use would be limited. I may try this before heading the mexican route.

Thanks for the replies.

To get the most out of DHC you must use a route that is of higher bioavailability than oral.

Plugging DHC is MUCH, MUCH better than codeine will ever be.

I used to go mad for this stuff. I remember washing 60 mg down with hot coffee; I'd be itching my tits off within 20 minutes, was very young at the time. (Those were the days). It's a decent opiate, way better than codeine imo

i like dihydrocodeine. it is i think 1.2x more potent than codeine, but for me it lacks most of the really annoying side effects codeine has, like the fucking itchiness. any dose under 300mg isn't worth it for me. one 30ml bottle of paracodin usually does it.

Just gonna put this out there: Aren't you worried that doing a weak opiate again to just give you cravings for a strong opiate like oxy or dope? I found that every time I've done weak opiates, even after a long tolerance break, it's just a tease.

I agree with you. I've already sourced oxy/rox/fen since having made this post. However I do feel I can enjoy some milder opiates time to time. I've been able to enjoy Tram, Tapen and MT-45 over the past two months without getting hooked. Although I guess thinking about them means I'm hooked again. Physically I know I'm not. I am prescribed benzos daily and lost friends to the benz/opi mix. So they help keep me from making this a habit again.

Regardless I admit I'm hooked on getting high. But that's for another thread.
