Hi guys, started nasty cold turkey today off codeiene, alprazolam and diazepam,

phoned the docs and he immediatley gave me a load of vali's plus 80 30mgs of dihydrocodeine.

Ive never experienced DHC before and didnt realise b4 that it wasnt the same as codeine. Does anyone have experiences to share, or dose recommendations.

Also, I know there will be peeps who will read this and think "you stupid twat, u should use them medicinally if going cold turkey rather than using them to get high etc", and I think u r bang right!
But being a foolish psychonaught, i was also wondering: can u sniff or smoke DHC??

I'm pretty sure you can't smoke it, you can sniff it (assuming there isn't another drug in the pills, such as APAP).

IIRC, dihydrocodeine is approx. 1.2 to 1.5 times as powerful as codeine. However, that number could vary depending on your body chemistry and tolerance to opiates. So start low and work your way up, how much codeine were you using daily prior to switching to dihydrocodeine?

Thanks mate, I just sniffed a line and had pretty good results, im goan try not to abuse it tho. I was completley out of control with codeine and was using 500mg + a day.

That's about the ceiling dose of codeine provided there wasn't something special about your liver

How much DHC did you snort? And I don't think you're abusing it as long as you're using it to maintain or taper down off codeine...

was about a 40mg line, gave me some nice feeling in the legs, certainly quite pleasant.

Man...if you really want to try a different ROA, then at least go for plugging.

DHC is my DOC and I would never even consider snorting it..but then it would take me at least 12 of my 40mg tabs to feel any kind of pain relief.

What kind of Codeine dosages were you taking to be able to get relief from 30mg of DHC?
