DHC Continuous or Instant Release?

I have quite a high opiate tolerance i usually take 160mg oxycontin (OC) crushed up and taken orally.

I have been offered the choice of either Dihydrocodeine 120mg continus prolonged release tabs or 30/40mg Dihydrocodeine instant release or 60mg codeine phosphate.

Which tabs would suit me best?

preferably whichever requires least preparation (cwe, etc) and which would work best for me knowing my opiate tolerance?

Also im guessing the 120mg continus prolonged release tabs would just need to be crushed to avoid the slow release mechanism the same as the oxys?

Would this be safe to do just like the oxy's? What sort of doseage would i be needing for required effect? Or would it not be worth my while with any of the DHC/Codeine products.

Is it not possible to get around the prolonged released and effectivly make it instant release by crushing the continus 120mg into powder?

If your taking 160mg oxycodone regularly it won't even be worth your time.

Well Pete, I have taken the 120mg DHC tabs & the 60mg codeine phosphate tabs, have never takes the IR tabs. Crushing the DHC 120mgs doesnt necessarily make them IR but they will hit you harder. As far as a warm & fuzzy high, 400mg of codeine phosphate is pleasant but with a 160mg of oxy habit, I doubt neither of these will do much.

How long have you had this oxy habit?

ive used oxy on and off for around 15 months but only infrequently.

sometimes for a 2-3 days at a time and then maybe a 2-3 month break although for some strange reason my physical tolerance doesnt drop,i can take 160mg today then wait 1-2 months do 160mg and feel just as intoxicated.
