Dextropropoxyphene / Paracetamol

Hi,
I have stumbled across some tablets, containing paracetamol (APAP) and dextropropoxyphene. I was wondering, since I am not keen on munching down on too much paracetamol, whether I can perform a cold water extraction in the same way as with codeine / paracetamol tablets and wind up with a foul tasting smack-goo?
Also - being lame and having no contacts I am unable to get opiates. Ever. Therefore my tollerance is diddly squat. I have abused codeine and dihydrocodeine before, and found them to be excellent opiates for my purposes. With that in mind, do you think I will find dextropropoxyphene to be relatively useful?

Propoxyphene sucks like nothing else. It has nasty side-effects in 'recreational' doses and the high is more annoying than fun. My vote: don't bother.
However, with no tolerance, you won't hurt yourself on APAP taking 'recreational' doses of propoxyphene. Knock yourself out.
 
Yeah propoxyphene sucks so many balls.
The high is like you are buzzed enough to say "hey I want more", but you never quite cross into feeling good.
It's very annoying to never reach a peak.
 
I dont think propoxyphene is very soluble in water(if i remember the PDR monologue correctly but I could be wrong), so I wouldn't try an extraction.
 
As the propoxyphene would be a hydrochloride salt, it is most definitely very soluble in water.
So, an extraction would work, but it sounds like it wouldn't really be worth the effort...
 
^^^You're right, i just looked it up and the HCl IS freely soluble in water, it was propoxyphene napsylate that is only slightly soluble in water.
 
I never thought a CIV drug could be so disappointing. I took 2 Darvocets (200mg of the napsylate salt) the other night. I got not even a twinge of good feelings, but I was holding back the puke all night and ended up passing out a few hours later. The nausea was as bad as oxycodone for me, but at least the latter also gets you high. I'm scared to take any more of these worthless pills.
 
Why would you expect much from a CIV drug in the first place? Most of them suck, unless taken in MASSIVE doses.
 
Well xanax and valium are CIV and they don't suck, but you're right, darvocet is legendarily shitty. I always thought codeine was as crappy as you can get but no more...
 
^^^^I agree that the high from valium or xanax doesn't suck, I actually love it. But i have to take at least 8 or 9 times the therapeutic dose to catch a good buzz. If I had a good benzo, like rohypnol :) i would only need a couple. Same thing w/ CIV opiates, 300mg of codeine cant compare to even 30mg of oxycodone or a couple of dilaudids, or any CII opiate for that matter.

Propoxyphene sucks, Paracetamol too.Codeine's much
better than dextropropoxyphene.
