Dextropropoxyphene + Alprozolam -- Deadly Mix?

Hello, tomorrow morning I wanna take the rest of my 3 Dextropropoxyphene (65mg./500mg APAP) along with a 2mg. Alprozolam (Xanax XR) when I wake up in the morning.

Normally, I wouldn't be so cautious mixing an opiate with my Xanax since I do it regularly and I know my tolerance; however, in the case of Propoxyphene there appears to be a major drug interaction with Xanax. Source: http://www.drugs.com/drug-interactions/propoxyphene-with-xanax-1955-0-133-54.html

Would this kill me or get me buzzed very well?

195mg. Dextroproxyphene
2mg. Alprozolam Extended Release
1.5g. Acetaminophen (I know, not good for the liver!)

I hope there is a response when I wake up tomorrow...

Thanks for any advice!

Well, I took it this morning. I must say that I was extremely high all day! I usually feel nothing from Darvon, but mixed with Xanax, I actually caught a nod! Excellent combo for those with a tolerance.

Glad to hear it worked out for you. But, I feel it should be stated that this combo is not recommended, in case anyone is reading this thread and considering trying this.

Propoxyphene is known to cause a higher degree of respiratory depression relative to it's psychoactive effects compared to most other opioids. That is to say, you could OD on the stuff before you actually catch a decent buzz. Add another CNS depressant to the mix, and the risk of OD is compounded. I have actually read that propoxyphene+other depressants is a popular suicide mixture.

Off topic but you have to be from Louisiana with the way you spelled "go"
