dextromethorphan + guaifenesin?

i took 5.3 grams of guaifenesin the other day while taking DXM (i had no access to pure DXM) and didnt experience any adverse effects. I know it won't kill me because there isn't a fatal dose. all I wanna know is if I take 5.9 grams this time will I experience anything harmful since I took 600 mg less the other day and felt nothing harmful?
 
One side effect I've seen is guaifenesin causing kidney stones. Not every adverse side effect is immediately noticeable - think of paracetamol overdose. You can take an overdose and possibly not notice for a day or two when the damage has been done. Sometimes an adverse reaction may only be noticeable when it's too late to treat.

In the interest of harm reduction I'd advise you to try and find a dextromethorphan preparation without any other additives at all.

that's true but it has been a few days since then and I still havent experienced any adverse effects. I decided to take the drugs anyways and will be updating if i don't get too out of it. I'm going to be experiencing my trip in the woods so this should be interesting. I am taking 20 15 mg robo gells (just dxm) and a box of 30 generic mucinex dm pills. So all in all 900 mg of dxm. I'll keep posted.
 
holy shit! i was GONE I got lost in the woods because all the colors blended together. I finally found my way out and one of my buddies got me stoned. Then I peaked. I thought everything was freeze frame. I was watching myself from afar. i was floating, walking along marshmallows. I couldnt stop laughing. still frying, slowly coming down. Best experience possible

Guaifenesin has no recreation value at all. Always causes me bad gas when I take too much so I choose to stay away from it.
 
Guaf should be avoided if possible.
Dxm on its own is not that enjoyable for me, I get far too itchy and restless to enjoy the trip, but with guaf I get BLINDING headaches.
I'm talking about the worst headaches I've ever experienced, and sort of light or sound feels like a jackhammer inside my head and I've been dealing with headaches daily for almost two years so that is really saying something
Also the nausea is horrible with guafenesin
Robo gels containing solely dxm
are the best

I'm sorry that happens to you. Maybe I got too high to experience headaches. Honestly I barely remember anything. It was crazy. I seen everything exactly like a dream would be. OEV were intense. I thought I was moving like on Call of Duty on level 10 sensitivity. Guaif didnt make me feel any adverse effects.
 
I would be careful taking anything with guaifenesin, it's effects seem to wildly differentiate depending on the individual. Seems to create alot of nausea for some people, while others experience nothing from it. I would stick to just taking straight DXM without any other active ingredients, it's the safest way to go. Although it takes alot to overdose off of guaifenesin, even a little can certainly make for a nasty trip if you are easily affected by it.

As for me, yesterday I took 20 gelcaps along with 118ml Robo Cough+Chest Congestion DM which has 200mg of guaifenesin per 10ml. Thats 2400mg worth of it and I didn't feel any nausea whatsoever so, I guess if you want to take it anyways just make sure you start small and stay safe. Unlike me :D
 
yeah haha the dollar store has bottles of fl. oz 10mg dxm 100mg guaifenesin per 5 ml. so i usually drink 2 or 3 of them and I'm just fine
