DXM does NOT reduce tolerance, it potentiates opiates. I am a daily opium user, and I take somewhere around 40-50mg of DXM with each dose of oral opium. The effect of the DXM is to increase the opiate effects by roughly 1/3 to 1/2. In fact, the effect of DXM for me is so noticeable that I can no longer use without it.

DXM does not reduce tolerance, it somewhat stops it from growing.
