dextroamphetamphine [DEXTROSTAT] shortage...STILL none to be found?

I live in the south-eastern USA and have been getting prescribed (180) 10mg dextroamphetamine sulfate IR [DextroStat] for about 6 months and i knew there was a HUGE dreought ondextroamphetamine over the past few months all over the country because of either some DEA/FDA/Pharm. Company (Barr in my case) and aparently i had found the ony drug store in my state w/ them.

they said i was the only one whothey even filled scripts for them to. (I guess because i asked my shrink SPECIFICALLY for DextroStat). i haven't had any trouble the past few months, just call a day in advance to the pharmacist and make sure they have the drug and proper amount in stock in case i have to tell my shrink to switch it to adderall if nothing else can be found.

anyways, asked my psychiatrist when i saw him this week if they had gotten that problem straightened out and his rsponse was: "they are temporarily helping it" (?) not sure his meaning, when i got the script filled the pharmacist told me to get the dr. to Rx me the 5mg tabs next time because he doesn't think he'll have anough of the 10mgs and can't reorder anymore right now...does any of this make sense to you guys? is the dextroamphetamine back in circulation or is just my one pharmacy runing low on the 10mg tabs? how are the supplies in the rest of the world? any info would be GREATLY appreciated incase i need to start calling pharmacies or start getting the5s or go for the aderall 30s. anyone w/ the scoop???
 
The DEA has a cap on amphetamines produced by pharmaceutical companies, which is being exceeded every year due to the rising amount of new ADD diagnoses. Under pressure, they raised the allowance by 1/3, allowing companies to start making more to meet rising demand.

Teva/Barr, the producers of generic 10mg Dextroamphetamine IR, have stated that it should be in steady supply by summertime, with intermittent availability starting from April until summer.

Some speculate that the Teva/Barr and Shire Dex/Adderall shortages are fake "shortages," to promote Shire's Vyvanse, but I doubt the validity of this conspiracy theory, although I suppose it is possible.
 
Dexedrine IRs (Dextrostats) are available in my part of the country, its just a matter of calling around to pharmacies.

Fuck that keep the shortage im loving the fact im one of the only people in idk everywhere around me that gets all my IR's filled cause high demand with low ability to fill anywhere else means prices are sky high n the fiens still buy!!!
 
i wish i knew someone that really needed them and couldnt get them cause i got like likea whole bottle of 30mg (i think 30) that i never used also have 20 mg Methylin that i havent used yw either, i read that the methylin can give a good euphoria and better then the adderall..then i read the adderak is a better high, so really im not sure

i was thinkin about snorting one of them but i didnt want to stay up the whole night

edit..i take it back they are only the round blue 10mgs ones..i thought they were bigger

There is still a shortage in my sector of Florida, had to have my Dexedrine switched to Vyvanse sadly.
 
thank you sweet-lord, baby-jesus! i was going to be EXTREMELY pissed-off if i had to switch my 180 10mg dextroamphetamines to some form or adderall (or GOD FORBID: vyvanse, ritalin/focailin [although focalin IV gives a rush nearlyt indistinguishable from IV coke, i know i'd use it all up in 3 days!]) hopefully i'll just have to get 360 5mg dextrostats for a month, even though that mens i have to drive another 2hrs to my shrink to get him to changemy script from #180 10mg s to #360 5mgs, but there are worse things in ife. DEA is going to make all this shit illegal one day and there are gonna be some sadddd mf-ing speed freaks and some happppy mexican cartel memebers *sigh* american drug policy is a sad, pathetic, illogical creature...
