Dextroamphetamine bioavailability - chewing then swallowing

Just curious if this decreases the bioavailability; chewing the pill then swallowing the remains (mixed with saliva).

The only way that could decrease the bioavailability (compared to just swallowing, I presume you mean?) is if lots gets stuck to your teeth and therefore isn't absorbed.. eventually it would dissolve in your saliva I am sure but it might take a while depending on how much there is, so you wouldn't get the same spike in blood concentration..

Actually, you reduce BA by swallowing it with something acidic, or if your urine becomes acidic. Coffee is out, at least until after it kicks in.

You increase BA with alkaline stomach/urine, so take some calcium and a tiny bit of baking soda.

Pomegranate and grapefruit increase blood concentrations of most drugs. So does Sarsaparilla.

If you chew it up then the D-Amphetamine will slightly increase in BA because of sub-lingual absorption under the tongue, and the L-Amphetamine will greatly increase in BA....You may or may not want this since the L-Amphetamine is great in small doses for study and mental performance but carries with it more stress and physical side effects. It could induce a panic attack just because the ratio will be thrown off compared to oral.

More isnt better if you OD.

I did not know this, I thought the oral BA of L-amp was good, like D-amp.

Normally I would say chewing/crushing/parachuting IR pills is a waste of time, though. Our stomachs are pretty darn acidic, and instant release pills break down in under 5 minutes anyways. The exception would be hydrocodone/apap pills, however, some of those are extremely compacted and huge compared to most other pills; even 10/325 Norcos are pretty big.

Sublingual administration does hit you a lot faster than oral, though. I guess that's the only benefit of chewing and trying to get the powder under your tongue.
