Television Dexter

That was an amazing finale. Though the season wasn't my favorite (that would still have to be last season), the finale was perhaps Dexter's finest.
 
This was the first Dexter season finale I was disappointed by. Deb was supposed to find out, and the Lumen plot ended just as it was getting interesting. It felt like a cop out.
 
i didn't thin it was so bad. i mean when they went out into the woods i of course thought of doakes but it tied up the lumen story nicely. and dexter's secret made it through another season w/out being reveiled to the world.

i think next season will be interesting to see if dexter becomes more human or what.
 
not gonna watch the season finale, pb watched it while i was sleeping and i looked it up and it seems totally awful, i'd rather not watch it if basically nothing happens but Jordan Chase dying which everyone knew had to happen at some point. i'm becoming more and more disappointed with this show as time goes on :( also the lumen thing seems stupid. why wouldn't she stay with dexter regardless of if her dark traveler is gone or whatever?
 
dexter has officially jumped the shark. a shame considering the high it was coming off wrt the season 4 finale.

they really did take the easy way out of this one though. makes you think if the writers are being pressured to make the series stretch out, cuz this was a LOT of filler.

ditching lumen right when it starts to get good (even though stiles is a LOL-worthy actress), blowing up the liddy plot, the true main plot line of the season, the lame dialogue with deb letting them go... argh just so terrible.

AND SO LITTLE MASUKA THIS SEASON! COME ON!

officially done with the show. it's been fun! gotta hope BB doesn't flop too.
 
Finale was not so bad, but it wasn't good either. Nothing surprising happens, you might just as well not watch it and you won't lose anything. As for the entire season, it was probably the worst so far (unlike many people, I don't think the third one was so bad). There were a few good moments, and some good ideas wasted, that's all.

To expand on my earlier post: I liked the finale because it actually wrapped the season up. Though I like Julia Stiles, I didn't care much for Lumen; her departure avoids a major potential fudge factor next season. Quinn is now indebted to Dexter, and may stay off his back for good. The kids like him again. Assuming they don't drag Lumen back in next year (unlikely), the field is wide open for a season that owes nothing to previous ones (unlike this current one, which of course picked up right after Rita's murder).
 
I finally got around to watching the show where I left off. I have to say that it did get a little better after episode 4 (not 5 like I previously thought), I liked how they portrayed Jordan Chase. "Tick. tick, tick, that's the sound of your life ticking away".. That scene where he walked up to Dexter for a swab was especially nice, kinda reminiscent of how Trinity walked up to Dexter ("hello, Dexter Morgan") in the 4th season, likewise with the phone call to Lumen, that was good. I went in the last episode thinking how'd they were gonna fit all of that into one episode and honestly, the finale felt a bit rushed.

Next season will probably be heavily focused on Quinn and Debra finding about about Dexter and Dexter trying to regain his humanity, or something to that effect. The whole Liddy and Santa muerte side plots were a bit of a lead-up to that.

haha ^^ dexter is my favorite show of all time but season 5 didn't entertain me as much as previous seasons. season 2 is probably my favorite so glad that doakes is dead!
 
where is the best place to watch season 5 online? just bought the season 4 finale for 2$ on ps3,well worth it. need more, what a shocking end
 
Worst series so far. They really drew it out too far. After the awesomness of series 4 they could have done great things, instead they took us down who gives a shit road, treating the veteran viewers like twats.

Like the whole scene where deb almost finds out dexters secret. It looked like even the actress herself was thinking i cant believe i'm doing such a rubbish scene.

Rubbish series & i hope the makers know it. Bunch of money grubbing twits.
