Television Dexter

Me too. Haven't even watched the latest episode, lost interest a little bit.

I miss Lithgow, Julia Stiles is sucky, so far anyways.

They developed her quite a bit in the last episode. I am not a huge Julia Stiles fan myself, but I was not much of a fan of that dude from 3rd Rock From the Sun before season 4. Maybe the show will surprise you?

You don't like Dick Solomon? omg :D He's my hero.

I'll check the latest 2 eps in a couple of days, I'll get back to ya then. Granted, pretty much every new season of Dexter starts off kinda slow (though I did like how season 2 evolved from the beginning), but after ep 5 it kinda got predictable as to what's gonna happen next.

is gunna take the place of his wife? kinda seems like it. or may be killing partner.

if not i dunno what they were trying to do w/ her in the tub and him having flashbacks.

or may be killing partner.

Most likely. Instead of him training the kids into little killing machines they substituted this with sucky Lumen. Pretty self-explanatory after ep 5, she's damaged goods with a lust for vengeance.

The Lumen thing is starting to get pretty interesting for me. Her and Dex are beginning to get a bit of a Bonnie & Clyde thing going on.

I would like to see them fucking right after a kill or something like that. It would be pretty wacked out, but one of the things that makes this show so unrealistic is the lack of a psychosexual element to Dexter's method, which from what I understand is present in all serial killers.

I'm ashamed to say I've never seen a single episode of Dexter. Never had Showtime. That's what DVDs are for I guess. When I can afford to, I'm going to start buying them one at a time.

Motherfuck netflix. I opened an account a couple years ago in order to catch up on all of these great TV shows (The Shield, The Wire, The Sopranos, ect ect...) and became a "high volume renter." They started sending me scratched discs every time I ordered from them, so I would have to send it back and order another one. I know this is a scam they pull, because when I toned it down a bit my DVD's would be in pristine condition, until I started up high volume ordering again. Then every single disc I got would be too scratched to play.

If you look online, you will find others complaining about similar problems when they order a lot from netflix. It seems each region has a different scam going. Suffice to say, I canceled as soon as I caught up on my shows.

On to Dexter. Anyone else still think the Lumen plot is not interesting? Yeah, I didn't think so. They are going into a pretty fucking awesome direction with this, and potentially making Julia Stiles into a quality actress.

this past episode def had me craving for more.

NSFW:
after they killed the security guard guy and dumped his body. that ex-cop guy thats working with quinn saw him and lumen on the boat. its gunna be interesting to see how this gets handled. if he keeps blackmailing quinn or if he turns dexter in.

SPOILER

NSFW:
i don't think he has much of a choice to do much else but blackmail quinn. what, go tell the police that he thinks something is up with this guy? a guy who is a dirty cop? when dexter is the image of perfection and having just lost his wife? so what if he's having a little fun with a younger woman? it's his right. dirty cop guy has no choice but to keep blackmailing quinn, who has no way out because he obviously really wants deb, but can't get dirty cop guy off his back without fucking over deb -- i honestly can't believe he went into it, Deb would stand by Dexter no matter what, and trying to ruin her brother's life would be the ultimate buzzkiller.

i think your right

spoiler
NSFW:
if the dirty cop tells quinn that he saw dexter dropping off bodies and quinn already suspects dexter of murder, what is quinn going to do? just keep it too himself? try to expose dexter? i just dont think he can keep that stuff to himself. and i dont know if deb is really worth covering up murders.

SPOILER

NSFW:
well obviously he fucked up his chances with Deb, which was expected. now, i don't know how the next episode is going to deal with jordan chase, i can only see a few outcomes. dexter lets jordan chase go to the cops -- which is most likely, seeing as everyone knows he's already seeing him, and lumen doesn't get to kill him. OR dexter kills jordan chase and reveals to deb that he's the vigilante that she's looking at (which was bound to happen sometime, in the books deb knows he's a serial killer and is extremely conflicted about it -- she knows he kills only those who get away from the cops and deserve it), and deb covers it up. OR lumen becomes implicated in the murder of jordan chase -- which is also likely. OR dexter some how manages to KILL dirty cop, jordan chase, and keep deb in the dark, which is also likely, leading to deb discovering he is the vigilante in the next two or three episodes. either way, the dirty cop and jordan chase have to be dealt with in the next episode. another likely possibility is that quinn turns in dirty cop for being..well, dirty cop, and takes the consequences in a move to try and win back deb, and getting dirty cop off dexters back, leaving only jordan chase. i'm still thinking deb finding out it's dexter will be the season finale, which i think is in two or three episodes.

I currently think I'm enjoying the show more than ever, dexter was a bamf last ep and the last 2 eps had my eyes watering cause I'm a softie. Maybe it's just cause I've been sober, and can't remember the rest, idk.
