Dexies-time to take?

Hi all

Have used dexies lots before but was going to try something different tonight and take them early? Note this is strictly recreational use. I am going to a gig tonight and have 10 D5’s. It’s currently 4.17PM and I probably won’t be heading out until about 8. Is it too early to take some? Was thinking of taking 4 straight up but don’t want to peak too early if that makes sense normally I would only take right before going out or already out. Cheers

Depends on how you take them, Oral is about 45 mins and nasal is about 30. Just keep in mind if your snorting, it's better to snort with some sterile water. If you don't, you'll just get a stuffy nose and it will have to drip down the back of your throat into your stomach. That can slow down the onset as well.

I'm guessing you mean these are 5mg instant release Dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine) tablets? There is a pretty big difference in how the instant and extended-release formulations are going to work.

Assuming you've got instant release tablets, I would wait until 6:00pm - 6:30pm to take them. You're using them for recreational purposes and you're playing a gig. If you were to take Dextroamphetamine at 4:30pm to have it kick in by 5:00pm, by the time 11:00pm rolls around, you're already going to be feeling the tug of the comedown and you're no longer gonna be feeling wicked amazing by 12:00am. I can only assume you are trying to party tonight, so I further assume that you probably aren't planning to go to be at midnight.

If you take them at 6:00pm they will start kicking in a half-hour later. This gives you a few minutes to vibe, get yourself dressed and get yourself amped up (no pun intended) for your show. 20mg should have you feeling nicely for the duration of the show. If you feel like the night is going to be until the sun comes up, you can then take another 10mg around 11:30am which would keep you going until probably 5:00am -6:00am.

If they are spansules, that means they're extended release. If this is the case, I would just take 35mg-40mg at 6:00pm and let that be the end of it.

I know you have 50mg available to you. It's not gonna hurt you to take all of that in one night. Just know that the more you take, the higher you get, the shittier the comedown is going to be. If you're going to be drinking Alcohol, I highly, highly suggest you bring some Gatorades with you and hydrate constantly. The combination of Alcohol/Amphetamine + dehydration is a recipe for feeling like total shit for an entire day.
