Dexedrine for CFS

Hello, like your site. Have been through all the changes over the years from the old GSK heart shaped tablets
Currently on Barr - tried the different new drugs and now having trouble getting Barr. How does Desoxyn work , I have tried Vyvanese - but I might have been on too small a dose . 60 mg dex to 30 Vyvanese
Should I try a higher dose of vyvanse or try desoxyn , what dose. Thanks for this site. Now I know there are many of us needing this for various reasons to help their condition. Susan
 
Welcome :)

Desoxyn is methamphetamine. Methamphetamine is slightly more potent than dextroamphetamine and lasts considerably longer. Vyvanse is a pro-drug for dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine).

I've never felt a difference between the different generics for Dexedrine. In fact, we don't allow brand name vs. generic or generic vs. generic discussion here.

How would we know what dosage you should take? Talk to your doctor about this. I know the prescribing dosages for CFS are different than for ADD/ADHD

Man Desoxyin is fucking meth...ask doc why the fuck he givin you the little kids meds(vyvance) to go with yo' meph.

I mean shit if you already on it why not just increase the dose..
 
For CFS, you might want to consider switching to Adderall (XR) due to the fact it contains levoamphetamine, which stimulates the PNS more, and causes even more increase in the levels of norepinephrine. Or you could continue with the Dexedrine, and add a small dose of Adderall (XR) to your current regimen. Going up to Desoxyn could potentially be beneficial, but I am not sure it would definitely have superior effects over Dexedrine for the purposes of treating CFS. I wouldn't bother with Vyvanse, really, as it is just a slow-release of what will be dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine).
