Dexamphetamine sublingual and Dexamphetamine extraction

I don't see much discussion about sublingual ingestion of dexamphetamine, it seems that people either want to snort it or to pop it? Is there any particular reason why sublingual seems to not be used as frequently? (I really dislike snorting things...) I'd imagine for speed of administration, when finely powdered, sublingual or placed around the gums wouldn't be too much less effective than snorting?

Regarding snorting: Why it is so bad is because you snort 50x the weight of the dexedrine in binders. Is there any way to effectively extract the dexedrine from the binders?

^ Using water you could probably get rid of any binders and fillers that are insoluble. I can think of ways of further purifying that, e.g. acetone.

I have tried dissolving it before, and it seems that there is quite a bit of insoluble crap.

Extraction can be performed in a similar way to pseudoephedrine from pseudofed. You may need to take into account variations in solubility and with freeze extraction methods; melting points etc. You'll find these properties in the Merck index. Procedure for pseudo can be found on Rhodium's site.

Watch out. Snorting amphetamine salts can cause rapid increases in heartbeat (higher peripheral stimulation than meth at lower doses).

One method...
Dissolve tabs in required amount of dH2O
Filter out water insoluble binders (rewash cakes)
Basify with NaOH
Add in required amount of diethyl ether to dissolve freebase
Shake
Seperate ether layer
Add reqd amount of conc H2SO4
Evap ether on a glass plate

Bumping this:

I would really like to know if sublingual use of dexamphetamine can have adverse effects due to all the binders in the pill.

My question still stands about sublingual usage frequency if anyone knows. Anyone able to offer insight as to why sublingual usage isn't popular?

^ The binders aren't really going to do much of anything. You can just let the pill dissolve under your tongue--it will taste like ass, but that's about it. As for why sublingual administration isn't that common compared to regular oral administration: dexamphetamine is lipophilic enough to have a >80% oral bioavailability, so there's really no need to bother. Besides, there is very little "first pass" effect, whereby hepatic metabolism destroys active drug before it enters circulation. In contrast, methylphenidate is extensively metabolized and only has a ~25-30% oral bioavailability, so sublingual administration makes a little more sense.

Yeah as mentioned before, the oral bioavailability of dexedrine is so high it just doesnt seem like its worth the time to bother with any other administration route than eating it.

i just snorted 30mg of dexamphetamine, shit burns my nose and i didnt even feel any effects

snorting amphetamines is a waste of the great qualities it provides (pharmaceutical amphetamines that is) i only snort ritalin because my body cant handle oral ritalin and have euphoria still, instead i get neefvous jittery, if i sniiff it, im euphoric like coke then jittery, if i sniff dexedrine/adderall, i lose the magic effects and just feel coked out and only feel good for under an hour, if it take it orally, im good for 6 hours and feel great
