Dexamfetamine - extremely tired and no positive effects?

You are taking far too low of a dose. Low doses and especially when I am coming up on a larger dose (when there is a low active amount in my system) myself, as well as many of my friends have all noticed yawns and mild tiredness. You really need to be taking at least 10-15mg.

Thanx for all your support guys. But after almost two weeks I've made the decision to quit dexamphetamine. Even in higher doses it has more negative than positive effects for me personally. To sum it up, I allways feel like I'm on drugs and sedatet, and I can't stand that feeling. Even my spelling gets worse, I have to check every post for typos over and over again, that can't be good. Since DL-Amphetamine worked quite well for me, I'll go back to that, and then check if I may have a sleeping disorder, and if there's a med for this condition that works better for me.
You guys be well and take care!

Thanx, bronson (great name, by the way :))

Speaking of other medication:

I'll probably open another thread for this soon, but does anyone here have experience with modafinil (provigil)? Some people in a german ADD forum, who had no good results with MPH or Amphetamine spoke quite highly of it...
I know a shitload about Methylphenidate and Amphetamine pros and cons, all the possible (long term) side effects included (like neurotoxicity, possible receptor depletion etc)
However, I know very little about modafinil, except the military using it to keep soldiers awake etc, i know it doesn't have the best reputation because of that.
So does anyone with sleep disorder or ADD have any long-term experience with it, or knows about possible long-term side-effects?
