Detoxing and Job Searching

I recently quit my job decided to take the opportunity to detox and get sober. I have been a pain pill addict for 3 years. Anything opiate in pill form was my drug of choice. I'm 6 days sober and have already started looking for new jobs because since I have been a manager for 5 years, I know the hiring process can be as quick as a couple days or as long as 2 weeks. I've been called back for an aptitude test and a 2nd interview after my initial one. The only problem is that I am pretty sure my prospective new job does pre-employment drug tests And I have been using Benzos to help through my withdrawals. They are doing an amazing job at helping me not wake up every 30 minutes from my legs constantly kicking and help keep me feel not so tired from the increased heart rate that withdrawals do to me. I've read that diazepam stays in urine for 10 FREAKING DAYS =\\\. Any ideas on how to keep my withdrawals managed with or without the diazepam or how to get a doctor to give me a legit 'script for them? Or how to pass the test another way while still using my benzos?

Hey Halley,

Unfortunately we can't give you tips on how to beat a drug test, nor help you get a script from your doctor. Others will be able to chime in with alternate methods for alleviating withdrawals that may not affect a pre-employment test though.

Congrats at being so proactive so soon after quitting both your job and the drugs. It's a massive step forward :D
