Opioids Detoxed from Opiates, having some woman "problems"?

SWIM detoxed from 120mg of roxicet a day. When SWIM checked into detox, she was just coming off of her period. Two weeks later SWIM got out of rehab and had her period AGAIN now clean and sober. This is a strange irregular 20 day cycle and SWIM is wondering if anyone else has "woman problems" while getting clean or during the use of opiates. Having her period twice this month, SWIM is concerned with the fact that her period this time is going on eight days. Can anyone offer advice or consolation that they have had similar problems with their body while detoxing?

Cant help you...but we don't use SWIM here, or my pet did this...etc, If the law wants you, using SWIM won't help you...just FYI

Herbs like Black Cohosh may help, or an antidepressant such s Paroxetine.

That isn't unusual, opiates fuck with your sex hormones pretty good, especially testosterone.

Using opiates and especially the rebound when detoxing is known to mess with the menstrual cycles.

When we were using heavily my wife was on a 36 day cycle(and even missed I think 2 periods in 1 year), scared the shit out of us every month(until we got a copper IUD) Using or quitting never induced menstruation in her, seemed to always just delay it, but I have heard of that from other girls. And it makes sense, that since using delayed her cycle, quitting could induce it.

Opiate use messed with her menstruation both on the pill, and since having the copper IUD, but it was when she was on the pill that she missed 2 periods completely. It was kind of scary, because she would take all the pills, switch to the sugar pills...no period...switch to next pack, few days in her period would start. Now that we aren't using all the time, she is regular.
