I see that the EZ test Xtreme kits make it fairly easy to determine the difference between MDxx substances and substances that are primary amines. How for example would someone know using the kits whether their pill contained MDA alone for example?

A pill that only has MDA in it should show a purple/black reaction with marquis, no reaction with simons and a positive reaction with robadope. As with all these tests, there is a small chance that there is another substance present that goes undetected.

no, it contains a primary amine. could be anything... when it tests black with marquis as well , there is a good indication that it might be mda. but then again, no guarantees... The thing is that we geared our tests towards the detection of mdma. Anything else you can read from the results is a bonus, but not necessarily guaranteed correct.

Although not a sure way to test for the substance. I find the colour Mandelin turns just before black is a red/purple. You may have to look out for this with a close eye as the change can happen quickly. Sometimes it even stays the reddish colour just after going light purple.
