It sloshes, it slides
It rolls, it rides
Held down by
My own desire
Lit up by
My own true fire
It pulls back to reveal
the loss of faith in love I've got
The ties that bind will BREAK when twanged
The greatest lie I ever did sang
Was "bring out your best, man, show 'em you're worth knowin'"
When in all reality, I probably should be going...
In clear fields, horror
In dark alleys, peace
There is no home for a soul like my own
A soul who see the hell in all
A soul who makes the dead dreams crawl
Whose skins peels back to reveal it's pall
It can't escape, can't break through, can't hold on, just BREAK!

sweet as dude, this poem has a lot going for it, not just the clever rhymes. i thoroughly enjoyed the read.

i appreciate the rhythm in this piece, and yes, clever rhymes. I especially liked this bit...
The ties that bind will BREAK when twanged
The greatest lie I ever did sang
Was "bring out your best, man, show 'em you're worth knowin'"
When in all reality, I probably should be going...

Thanks. I try to write what I feel a certain moments. I'm glad you enjoyed it.:)
