Stimulants Desoxyn Plugging Problem

Not familiar with the excipients of Desoxyn, but if there is indeed some polymeric matrix (time release mechanism??) then snorting is probably not worth it. Oral bioavailability of amphetamines is generally pretty decent, and can be augmented via alkalinization of gastric contents with some antacids.

If desoxyn does have some polymer-matrix time release mechanism, crushing the tablet may alter the pharmacokinetics SLIGHTLY simply due to increased surface area. Again, I am not familiar with desoxyn in particular so I cannot really help you there.

The ringing in the ears phenomenon is common with high psychostimulant doses, especially intravenous cocaine or crack. As for the 'blue hands' that is due to epinephrine/norepinephrine-mediated vasoconstriction--not exactly unexpected from a whopping dose of d-methamphetamine.

There's no time release, desoxyn is only supplied in 5mg instant release pills. The reason the matrix is in there is to deter IV use and satisfy the FDA.

IME the matrix is easily defeated by soaking the desoxyn in water for a little while.
