Designing Novel Arylcycohexylamines! Or: Arylcyclohexylamines You Can Know and Love

i want more 2'-oxo compounds, i like holing and they're great for holing (ime).

maybe some substituted dck analogs?

i heard mxm wasn't all that, but then i didn't like dmxe either (never had mxe)

something like a 2-methyl dck? 2-deutero dck?
 
Actually I liked the sample of DMXE but would love to see more 2'-OxO arylcyclohexylamines. Had too little to really explore it at my tolerance level but it has a warmth which DCK - my usual fave of recent times - lacks. Maybe serotonergic activity, DCK also has some, in the beginnings I was out dancing on it, but tolerance builds rapidly and leaves you with a cold dissociation. 2-methyl-2'-OxO-PCM/E sounds good. Unfortunately I have still a complete lack of synthesis skills so this is out for others.
 
yeah, the 2'-oxo compounds apparently are harder to synth than the standards without a substitution on the cyclohexyl.

there's a good hamilton morris video on that very thing, the last step the heat does this really cool rearranging that's WAYYY over my head (well, synthesis in general is difficult... oops, i hope this isn't specific enough to break the no synth talk rule)
