Abused children, placement.

(Ive just completed a 7 week placement (residency) in nursing dealing with abused (in every sense ) and neglected children. Working in a multi disciplinary team whose thresholds vary. In real time I had to watch children falling through the cracks, helplessly. It's hurt me so much. Marks have been left on my heart and personal old wounds opened.

This placement had to cut through layers and layers of healed scar tissue and it still managed to get to the raw center. The worst part was knowing I was helpless. Thank you for reading, I needed to get it off my chest. Time will tell if this was cathartic. Right now its all too raw)
