ELKO, Nev. — An off-duty Elko County sheriff's deputy was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after her husband, a fellow deputy, pulled her over.

Charlotte Moore, 36, Spring Creek, was arrested in Elko at 11:41 p.m. Saturday. She was released at 1:47 a.m. on Sunday and placed on paid administrative leave, Elko County Undersheriff Rocky Gonzalez said.

In two separate accounts of the incident, Mike Moore indicated she initially was pulled over for either speeding or making an illegal turn, according to the report.

She allegedly left before being administered a portable breathalyzer test, the Elko Daily Free Press reported.

Mike Moore pulled her over again and called the Elko Police Department for backup. He left shortly after officer Shane Daz arrived. Elko Police Department Sgt. Mark Butterfield was also on scene.

wow, a cop who aint corrupt and dont just give his family a free pass? shiiit....

LMAO what a DICK!, I would of drove her home or some shit, pulled her over twice though two? Maybe he gave her a warning then she still drove so he was like "Bitch, you going to jail!"

either he is just the most upstanding officer in Nevada, or they hadn't been getting along so great.

I'm not sure whether to admire the guy for doing his job or think he's the biggest asshole on earth. Wow. Coolest story I've read in ages, though.

^^ Why not do both? On one hand he warned her. And its his duty to keep drunk drivers off the road. On the other hand. It was his wife!! Apparently untill death due us part doesnt mean shit anymore.

Apparently, there are some cops out there who actually take the idea of "protect and serve" seriously. He warned her, but she kept driving. He decided that his responsibility was to protect society (and his wife) by arresting her, so that she couldn't hit something or someone. She herself could have been killed, someone else could have been killed, and he didn't want any of that to happen.
I admire him for making that choice.

i dont know if that is what the article means. i dont think he warned her and let her go. i think she drove off in the middle of being pulled over, so he jumped in his car and pulled her over a second time and calling for back-up.
