Stimulants Depressicaa’s prescription amphetamine guide

You forgot to mention Desoxyn aka methamphetamine hcl. I have only seen two people prescribe to these although they were the generics ,the bottle said Methamphetamine Hcl 5mg and these were instant release unlike the Desoxyn Gradumets(Gradual metabolized or gradual realease) dunno what the Gradumet mean esactly except for it's time released.

Updated finally. It is sad that I am relapsed into usage of amphetamines before I had the brainpower or the willpower for harm reduction, but it is what it is.

I would like to add that the diagnosis of ADHD is like Dissociative Identity Disorder that it is often accompanied by multiple disorders, not just depression which can be quite simple by itself. Depression is also less permanent in so many ways than ADHD, which can be for over a decade for children, and a permanent feature for adults with the behaviourial requirements for the diagnosis. Furthermore I digress it is often overdiagnosed, abused and on the other hand also a missed diagnosis paradoxically.

I'd like to add my take on D-Amphetamine.................

DEX: Pure productivity in a tablet!!

My best mate is prescribed Dexamphetamine (Australia), 5mg tablets containing only D-Amphetamine. A lucky break for me considering that stimulants are my drug of choice. He was actually prescribed it due to chronic anxiety and depression as a last ditch attempt to treat it when everything else had failed. And funnily enough it has helped him a lot. He is prescribed 8 5mg tabs a day (!!!) which is the maximum legal dose here. So naturally he is able to put some aside for me regularly. My routine is to take 10 tabs (50 mg) sub-lingually in rapid succession and drink a red bull. This takes about 30 minutes to do, and by about 45 mins you'll be feeling great. Note: I have a fairly hefty amphetamine tolerance so 50mg might be too much for newcomers. I love to then stay up all night writing emails, singing along to my favourite tunes, reading and posting on bluelight, and generally being super productive. I'll write 15-20 emails in a night, post 15-20 msgs on bluelight, and generally get TONNES of stuff done and feel amazing doing it. And about once an hour take another 10mg sublingually to keep the buzz going. Funnily enough in my experience people with real ADHD get a calming response to amphetamines, where as 'normal' people get a hyperactive response to them. Most of my meth-head friends swear they had ADHD as kids. 50mg of Dex is very very similar to 30 or 40mg pure methamphetamine. The only difference is that meth is a little more euphoric and lasts a bit longer. But blindfold me and i'm not certain i'd know which was which. But dex is superior in that you know exactly your dose and also there are no sketchy chemicals leftover from poor manufacture as with meth, so in that sense it is better for you. Unfortunately you can't smoke dex (i love the rush from smoking meth) and the tablets have a lot of filler, so snorting them is a pain in the ass - so sub-lingual is the best route of administration. Oral is a waste due to poor bio-availability, its something like only 65% if you eat it versus ninety something if you snort/sub-lingual.

Dex is a great and under-rated drug. It really is the ultimate drug to increase your motivation and productivity. Just watch out for the crash afterwards, a lot of people feel a dex comedown is worse than a meth comedown, although i can't tell the differnce. I always have sleeping pills and valium on hand incase things get messy. Combining Dex with MDMA is also fantastic, but makes the comedown much worse, as it causes neurotoxicity (i think? from memory the dopamine and serotonin receptors get confused and transmit/accept the wrong neurotransmitters).

Anyway just wanted to add my experience. Fun fun fun.

I would like to contribute to this thread as I have been prescribed ADD medications for the last 1.5-2 years. The ADD medication that best works for me is Dexedrine. I don't need to get into specifics as most of the posters on this thread know the advantages of pure D-Amphetamine as opposed to the mixed formula of Adderall.

For those that suffer from the dreaded "crash", I would recommend using Piracetam. I know many people balk at its claims of being able to provide clarity and cognitive enhancement, and I agree fully that the jury is still out. But, I will say this - by pure chance, I stumbled upon its effects to completely dull the crash of Dexedrine. I am pretty sensitive when it comes to Amphetamine and would suffer severe depression on doses as small as 15-20 mg's. Now, when I take my Dexedrine, I take it in conjunction with Piracetam, and I haven't had a crash since. Something to think about. YMMV of course.

Exercise, eating habits, and sleep are all key components to keeping your body in top shape on a daily regimen of amphetamines. DXM and Memantine can be used, as well, as others have mentioned. I am somewhat weary of them, though, as there really is next to nil on clinical studies of them on humans. I know they have been performed on rats and there are loads of anecdotal stories of success, but I would still be weary of long term ramifications. I will say, from personal experience, DXM does truly work at lowering tolerance for those looking for a cheaper/more convenient option other than Ketamine or Memantine. Hope this little summary helped.

Cheers
