Deprenyl and false posistives on a drug test

I used to take deprenyl as a memory aid and overall mental activity supplement. I took it before I was put on probation and mandatory drug tests for the government and was thinking about getting a prescription for it. But, I have recently read it can cause a false positive for Methamphetamines. I was wondering if anyone knew about this drug and if so, what they knew about false positives for this drug and the chances of it happenning are.

I can get a prescription for it, but if I do that, I will have to explain to my probaiton officer why I have a prescrition for it. She will not be too keen on me saying "as a mental supplement". Although, she can't say what I can and cannot take if I have a prescription, I don't want to have to go thru the process of dealing with a motion to revoke my probation because of a false positive.

Please give me any info you have. Thanks.

Dont worry about it... bring your prescription into wherever you go to take your UA and it will be fine. I have a friend who takes adderall for adhd and is on random UA's, he has to bring his prescription bottle in with him every time.

I also read that selegine can metabolize in part to methamphetamine, so i suppose it could cause a false positive. Unfortunately, people administering drug tests for probation arent the most understanding, so be carefull.

Although I'm not 100% sure, I think there is a good chance that the deprenyl could be responsible for the false positive.

If you can't get a prescription, I would tell the tester that you take the Deprenyl for depression and that you ordered it from overseas. I think it's become fairly common these days to order meds online/from overseas, and antidepressants usually aren't very suspicious drugs. It sounds less vague than 'mental supplement' and more offical to say antidepressant.

Good luck man!

I don't think people read my post. I did say it could cause a flase positive in the first post. I was aksing if people knew how often this would happen if I was taking it regularly
