Denaturing E pills for display?

Once, years ago, I saw a head shop selling marijuana leaves encased in a lucite block. They had a letter from the State's Attorney saying this was OK.
Can one do a similar thing with a pill? It would be nice to be able to show off your pill collection without fear.
I could also imagine a collectors market emerging. DDL could make the pills they get "inoperable" and sell them on eBay, helping to pay for the lab tests!

Pills will last as longer than you will live as long as they are kept in dry stable conditions.
Thats if thats what you were asking.
 
no, he/she's asking how to make a pill of E inactive in some way so that it could be, for example, sold as a collector's item, or put on display. cf the mention of enclosing a marijuana leaf in lucite (clear plastic).
Well, wouldn't enclosing in lucite work here, too? *scratches head* I don't think there's any way to simply kill the MDMA...
 
well i suppose you would "shave away" the lucite on that marijuana leaf, too, but... *shrugs* Seeing as how you can get busted for selling totally bunk pills as ecstasy, it seems to be the representation of the substance as being an illegal drug that's the problem. Marijuana is low-level enough apparently they managed to get away with it, convince the state that it wasn't a viable drug and was just a novelty. But somehow I doubt that's going to fly with ecstasy pills.

those (although not legal) aren't really super psychoactive so it probably wasn't a big deal...it is probably quasi-legal...
 
being able to show off a pill collection would be mad, i could imagine hanging it up on a wall in a deep frame, or a frame with many windows on it.
pill collecting is a hobby, just as is collecting stamps, and sheets of blotter art. but the only problem, is unlike blotter art, the pills would most likely contain the actual drug. so hmm
it'll probably never be legal as long as it contains the drug in the pill. if there was a way of getting the mdma out of a pill for it to be showcased, but still keeping it intact, then im sure it would be able to be legalised as "art" or whatever.
 
^^ yeah, but I really don't think there's any way to do that chemically without destroying the pill in the process.

for now pictures of someones "collections" will have to do.
does anyone know, like if u took a photo of a bunch of pills, and took them to get developed, would the people at the photo processing place, feel its their duty to like notify the authorities just as they would if they saw some like kiddy porn being processed at their place?
