Demerol

Oxy is also my DOC and IMO demerol is absolutely useless!

There is really no comparison in my experience. Demerol is a very poor pain reliever and in addition to that it has never, ever made me feel good. I have never experienced euphoria and generally all it ever did was make me want to sleep (and not even "nod").

I would personally not waste my money unless it was absolutely the only thing available and I just needed anything/something to deal with WDs.
 
Here is a good starting place to determine a safe (and conservative) first dosage, considering possibility of incomplete cross-tolerances, conditional tolerance etc. Tread with caution.

Meperidine is not necessarily considered the most pleasant of opiates IIRC

I liked it. There was heroin in my area that tested positive for Demerol (independent lab, not law enforcement related). Would give me some weird "head high" and some hallucinations but other than that it was nice. I liked it more than oxycodone. Though I've only experienced it IV. Every other roa I've read people using it was unpleasant or rather mild. I was in rehab and met an anesthesiologist who's drug of choice was Demerol and he was getting pharm grade morphine, hydromorphone, fentanyl, etc. He liked Demerol more I guess due to its "synthetic" nature. Its a very unique high, but don't use it too long as of produces toxic metabolites. So my ranking of opioids is: heroin, hydromorphone, morphine, Demerol, oxycodone, fentanyl. From best to least in my liking.
 
I wasn't aware that Demerol was even widely prescribed anymore. I hadn't tried it since the 80's when I lived in Michigan.
But maybe they're trying not to prescribe so much oxycodone nowadays, especially in Florida oxy's are being demonized.
 
I'm not real familiar with Demerol...so excuse my ignorance here....but will you be iv-ing it? From what I hear (AND IM NOT SUGGESTING YOU START IV-ING IF YOU DONT ALREADY) is that its a waste with any other ROA. Like it was said earlier....probably best to just pass on it unless u gotta have it to stay well or something. My guess is that compared to oxy, u will be disappointed. I usually find that trying something different and then trying to SAFELY figure out the right dose is such a waste of product and money that I usually end up with "buyers remorse".....if ya catch my drift.
 
Damn, I haven't even heard of that stuff being around for nearly 40 years! Personally, I had an aunt who lived with our family back then who was Rx'ed enough shit to kill a moose. I used to squirrel away what I could from her and demerol was my very favorite. IMO, like someone else mentioned, it was a unique buzz but I really like it. I sort of remember if you could fight off the initial tiredness, you were good to go. Seriously, is the demerol you're getting really old or something? The only time I've even heard of that stuff being around anytime recently is in the hospital and that was via IV only. I think you should enjoy it if it's not old.
 
yeahid pass on the demerol, now if i was dope sick , sheeeit id take it, but you have to IV it to get a good feeling, plus it has a toxic metabolite so thats why a lot if not all surgeons stopped using it. i know a few years ago i had it for an oral surgery to get my wisdom teeth removed, but it wouldnt keep me sedated and they kept pumping me full of it till they felt it was unsafe to give me anymore, i was still pretty zonked from the versed, but i was aware of what was going on, it sucked. and i didnt even have an opiate habit at that point, just a few percs and vicodens here and there.

anyways, didnt like it too much, and oh if you have pills, dont try and blow them. its like napalm in ur nose
 
^^hes right about snorting them. Every report I've read of it snorted is like taking a red hot mix of molten metal and pouring it into your nose. A lot of the pills if I remember correctly have promethazine which isn't pleasant to snort either. And to eat enough to get high, you'll need an antihistamine tolerance to keep from passing out from the promethazine.

It didn't occur to me that you might be talking about IVing it...IV. route is a whole different breed of animal from any other route, even I'M...so that might be a possibility. But even then, I like oxy for its ability to make me feel a little energy and euphoria...that just doesn't happen with demerol. Like I said (and someone else mentioned) it just makes me extremely sleepy and also very irritable...maybe because I'm so tired I have to fight to keep my eyes even open? Not sure why it makes me so grumpy and pissy
 
The shitty thing about Demerol is that if you have a habit to regular opiates/opioids meperidine won't fix you up. I mostly get hit with the anti-cholinergic effects of meperidine these days now that i have a high tolerance. It does however go nice with another opiate like say morphine and a 100mg IV shot of Demerol with about 200mg's of oral morphine had me seeing double.

If you have no addiction and not much of a tolerance to opiates Demerol can be quite fun. There was a time when i would have jumped over a bottle of oxy to get to a bottle of Demerol tablets. My favorite mix was 150mg's of Demerol and 100mg's of dimenhydrinate both taken orally. Demerol kicks in really fast even orally (you can feel it in 20 mins or so on a empty stomach) compared to any other opiates/opioids I've tried so you get a sort of rush from it even orally. So if you have no tolerance you can certainly have some fun with Demerol. Just becareful as meperidine has a rather nasty toxic metabolite called normeperidine which builds up very quickly with repeated use. Demerol has a ceiling dose of 400mg's a day that cannot be surpassed and you can't take it for any longer then 3 days in a row as the normeperidine builds up and risks going toxic by the 3rd day.

I don't know what kind of Demerol pills you have but the only kind you can get here in Canada are the 50mg name brand Demerol tablets. I stupidly IVed them a few times before i looked at the product monograph and discovered that there is talc in them. So even with a micron filter it wouldn't be safe to shoot these pills as you don't want fucking sand in your veins! Just take them orally as you get a pretty good high if you have a low tolerance that way anyway. DO NOT snort meperidine! I only made that mistake once and it felt like someone stuck a blow torch up my nose and my nose felt like it was on fire all day after. So yeah just eat them.
