Delta 8 THC Megathread

When did you first make d8? What did you call it? Were people aware it was d8 before it went mainstream

Yup, well according to the literature Delta-8 rich. If I made it according to the research it was probably around 50% delta 8, remaining being delta 9 and CBD.

Late 00’s, before most, I was like 18-19 lol. Back then if I had told them what it was they’d looked at me with a blank stare like I’m stupid.

It was just sold as weed with hash oil on it. Mostly true.

Yeah sorry I gotta treat that with major skepticism.
Thats not just something you wash out of flower with alcohol, its a little more complicated than that
unless youre about to tell us about your DIY chroma column/defractionating equipment

delta 8 tolerance is more significant

even when I was a very very heavy cannabis user, smoking from morning to night, I could still get "high" from it - even if that buzz only lasted 10-15 minutes.

with heavy d8 use after awhile I really don't get any sort of high at all... but I can still feel some effects and it's great at providing all the medical benefits of THC like inflammation, anti anxiety, insomnia, etc...

Did I say I washed it out of a flower? I’ve already said on here how to do it. I’ve got nothing to prove to you and you’ve already shown you have little ability to find these things yourself.

Delta 8 can be made easily from CBD or Delta 9 via a long reflux with a mineral acid such as sulfuric and solvent such as.. well according to you alcohol is too simple.

I bet it sounds even more far fetched that the Midwest countryside is littered with hemp plants grown during WW2 that grow now as weeds. They contain 6-7% CBD and minor amounts THC. An “alcohol wash” of said buds can then be isomerized with sulfuric until delta 9 is produced (2hr reflux) or delta 8 (2day reflux.)

God why do I waste my time, I guess my ego gets the better of me…

Interesting. That makes it sound like they each have their own mechanism of tolerance. Have you noticed cross tolerance between the two? I suppose hopping from one to the other to keep tolerance down would be too good to be true?

yeah it's interesting

d9, d8, d8-THC-O, d-10, etc...

they all seem to partly share tolerance but also have their own tolerances independent of eachother but also related

overall, if you have tolerance to one you will have tolerance to the others, but certain ones like THC-O seem to have a unique tolerance profile which is closer to drugs like LSD

also, THC-O (which has 2-3x higher affinity than d9-THC) did not really seem to increase my tolerance to other things even d8, it seemed to have a unique tolerance to it

but this is all just speculation from me, they definitely all share a cross tolerance for sure, but to varying degrees

We’d find em along old rural farm roads, they grow in the ditches next to the fields. I’d drive my mini van along, and quickly jump out to stuff them into the back and drive off.

Didn’t do it much, but mainly out of curiosity, most things I’ve done out of curiosity.

I've been curious about THC-O. I know a place that sells it blended with D8 but i haven't tried it. what is it?

It's actually stronger than regular THC, however all the brands you'll encounter in the US are very diluted

it's great shit, I love it, but tolerance develops quickly

I have not tried those brands that blend it with d8, I wouldn't really trust them tbh, probably garbage. But they might be good, IDK. They look very cheap and untrustworthy.

I can vouch for both 3chi, Utoya and Binoid brands. Do not vape the binoids brand carts - only eat those.

I've never heard of any of those. I saw the blend I mentioned on the delta extrax site (formerly delta effex). never had an issue with them but i've only tried their flower

I've seen delta effex products in my vape shop. d8 + THCO blends and things

I haven't tried them yet. I don't really trust that company.
