Misc Delta 8 gummies

I've read both delta 8 and 9 have the same or basically the same metabolite, delta 8 edibles have been hit or miss with me, they mite work one time, and not the next. I will try them again. Honestly the first time trying delta 8 gummies I got very high, I'm not giving up on them yet

The first time I ate them months ago, they worked great. I think some gummies are underdosed and some are not
 
Do you think it matters if you smoked before hand? I seem to always smoke before taking edibles and wonder if that could possible ruin the edible high?
