Delsym hot water extraction

Would just shaking a container with delsym and hot water and then running it through a coffee filter a few times work? How would the yeild be? Would the water need to be boiled or would hot tap water do? I have done the hot water separation 1 time with a low yeild and it took alot of time. This seems like it would work and cut the time down.

just pour the delsym in a milk jug full of water and let all the plastic dxm sink to the bottom, then siphon the water off the top. i've never heard of the extraction method you speak of

I'm pretty sure you just need to put the delsym and the water together, stir slightly and let sit, the crystals should form at the bottom, pour off the nasty orange shit, and there you go, DXM crystals in water.

I used to go into starbucks and get a cup of ice and a few packets of cane sugar,
pour delsym in cup, add sugar, stir.
