Misc Delsym Dosage Help.

Hi everyone, just some quick questions about Delsym and the correct dosage, along with general inquires. There may be a similar thread, but to be in some sense of safeness, I want to make a thread with what actually applies to me. So I have a Delsym Bottle, it's pretty small. I'm sure it's the 12-hour relief liquid, extended release, dextromorphen polisterex. I don't remember the excat writing, sorry.

It was this, but orange flavor.

I'm somewhere under 200 pounds, however over 150. I have a pretty high tolerance to substances, for pointers. and am a rather young. I don't want to have a strong trip, and be falling everywhere. I just want something where I can just control myself, so anyone have some suggestions on how much I should take of that bottle? Just for reference, this product is obviously not illegal, just an over-the-counter cough suppressant. For a cough, is also some of the reason why it's being used. Thanks, all insights on this product will be appreciated. Quick replies needed.

Try using the search function.

The rule of thumb I work with re: Delsym is "half as strong, twice as long" as compared to "normal" DXM HBr.
 
Thanks for the reply. Next time I will use the search feature a bit more, but what you said about the Delsym sounds familiar.
 
Hey there, I have never abused DXM so I am afraid I don't feel comfortable giving you help with your dosing, but I would advise you try it once in a low dose, no plateau dosage to get a feel for Delsym's time release.

I take Delsym for it's NMDA antagonism fairly regularly, when I can remember to, usually in doses of 15-30mg released conveniently by the plastic time release. It's too bad they had to use plastic to achieve this. My already fucked up GI does not respond well to OxyContin's new formulation, and I have minimal hope for Opana ER, my guess is that the TRF version would wreak havoc on my GI. It's insane they take this many short cuts to meet the bare minimum standard with the least amount of money, so of course they leap on the opportunity to use plastics.

/mini rant. Welcome to Bluelight. Oh and remember, that just because dextromethorphan is "legal" doesn't mean it's safe, or that it's legal to abuse it. The most I ever took was probably around 60mg when I was sick and I can't imagine anyone enjoying that sensation. Crazy lucid dreams, but the dreams were too crazy and too lucid to enjoy. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
