If I were to take the slugy result of the extraction and soak it in lemon juice for a few hours would that break down the polistirex coating? If I left it in the lemon juice for over a day would that damage the DXM?

I'll probably take the polistirex but it would be nice to know that I could turn it into regular DXM hbr if I didn't like the extended release kind. How long should a 20mg/kg dose of DXM polistirex last?
